Hey guys.
My system info is in my signature.

For the last 4 days, my computer randomly locks up while streaming online video, not just flash but other types as well (silverlight, etc).
I've updated all my hardware drivers, software updates, etc.
I've uninstalled flash/java/silverlight and reinstalled. It is still happening.

I'm fairly certain its not a hardware issue - I made certain everything was seated properly and I have no problem playing video from my hard drive.

It started happening on 06/10 when I updated my computer.
I updated from IE9 RC to IE9 (but the locking up happens on Chrome as well).
I updated my drivers for my keyboard and mouse.
And I updated Windows as well, here is the windows update:

It doesnt seem to be an update I can remove, any ideas as to any other troubleshooting steps I could take?

Have you tried a different browser?

Looks like he has tried Chrome and IE9RC+IE9, however...

have you unlocked the shaders on your GPU? It may be causing the lockups if you are using HW acceleration and the shader unlock borked the UVD3 ASIC or the unlocked shaders were not stable in certain shader operations. << longshot guess

Do you have another NIC to test this out with (network card)?

Thanks guys. No, never unlocked the shaders.

I just restored my system to the day before installing that windows update and that seemed to do the trick. Before I did that, it started locking up while playing music from my harddrive.
That update was specifically for Direct2D so it shouldn't have had an impact but ever since I rolled back before that update everything is running smoothly.

I even updated my drivers and IE9 again, so the only difference is that upgrade KB2488113.
