Hey all,

Here is a link to the case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112355

I'm on the verge of buying this case but am having a hard time finding out if my graphic cards will fit. I plan on running two MSI 680 Lightnings in SLI.

http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N680GTX-Lightning.html#?div=Specification

The cards are said to be 280mm long or 11.02 inches.
The case says it can fit up to 295mm, but that looks to be at the 5.25 inch drives and not the hard drive rack below, which looks like there is less space. I've also seen this case with a GTX 670 which was 241.3mm or 9.5 inch card and the fit looked very tight, so I have my doubts that the 680's will fit.
Does anyone happen to know if the hard drive rack in this case removable or no?

Thanks for the help in advance,
Bob

Thanks for the reply.
Do you happen to know if "very soon" implies availability within the week? Or are we looking at over a month type deal?

Are you able to shed any light on if the current PC-B10 would fit my current needs?

Thanks

Sometimes you need to pony up if you want quality....

This case is no different than anything else lian-li has fielded for much lower prices in the past several years. I'm seeing lian-li at $50-$100+ premiums vs cases from last year or the year before. They simply aren't worth that amount of difference.

It is only 1.5" taller than the Lian Li PC-V700. Which case would be best, of these two?

For Lian Li I'm only liking two cases at the moment... The X2000FN (not out yet) and the V750 (just released). But of the two you mentioned, the V700 by a mile.

Another thing Lian-Li is doing lately, actually for the last couple of years is using thinner and thinner aluminum on all their cases, even the high end ones.

I know, I strictly use them when building high end machines that go to Engineering firms. ECC / FirePro and Solidworks mostly. This is something you can't help but notice.

Since the price of their materials is rising, they have to shave what they can from their materials cost.

Anything from 2006 / 07 in good used shape could be a option for you.

I have a few cases from 2001 - 2002 and they are built like a tank compared to the updated cheap models they sell for around $100 - $120.

Lian-Li is forgetting it's roots and the reasons why they became so very popular.

Pricing is absurd.

I have to agree. Like someone else said, some of their current models seem "cheap" or "flimsy" for what they are worth. I was looking at cases last month and couldn't believe why some Lian cases were costly. Don't get me wrong, they are solid but a little too much on the expensive side.

The Silverstone TJ11 uses 2mm thick aluminum panels with possibly some thicker unibody parts, the Silverstone FT02 uses 4mm aluminum unibody and 0.8mm steel frame. Are you saying that even a flagship case like the Lian Li X2000FN or Lian Li V750 is significantly more flimsy vs the Silverstone products above? Might be a reason to vote Silverstone. I had the X2000F and it was thin in some places, but thick in others. Like the removable front panel was way too thin for my tastes, but the side panels were so thick. Werid. But it did not twist on its own frame like the X1000 did without the side panels off. The more I think, the more I want the TJ11.
