Hey folks,

Just purchased a server for L4D private, and thought I'd see if I could garner enough interest within the [H] community to keep it populated. The server is still pending install, but I'd like to see initially how many are interested. Server will be based in Los Angeles, CA. Also have a vent server for it as well.

Yeah as soon as you get it up post info and I'll play, isint there a Hard Steam group? I looked for ppl online playin the demo and couldnt find anyone hopefully since its out it'll be more populated.

I have a question. Does one game server allow multiple instances of L4D to be hosted? On the main game swarm thing I only see some servers run by Lotus or some group. They have about 20 or so instances you can join. Wasn't sure if each one was an actual server or if they all ran on a few servers.

I appreciate the free server offer but I would rather play on a public server elsewhere then a server hosted by that company. Absolute awful

Is the vent server tied to the actual game server?
 
I like to play L4D with all of you from the [H] community too. Is there any reason to use ventrillo when the same support voice chat by default? Just curious. I hope to play with you all this weekend too.

This game is so much better than the demo too.

No, it's just also hosted by them.

The vent is just free to use by the [H] community. Invite your friends, play WOW together, whatever you like. I've also always preferred vent over any in-game VOIP. I can also normalize people on vent so everyone's the same volume instead of having whiney ass kids screaming out my ears if I'm playing between friends and pubs.
 
I just got stiffed by my local Ford stealership, so there go my L4D PC funds. I only have the Xbox version at the moment. :(
