thought i'd let everyone know you can still get the $212 deal if you e-mail destinee or christa! just ordered today
[email protected] [email protected]By chance would you be able to post their contact info?
Thanks in advance!
This is going to be my 3rd replacement for the 2209WA.
That's because you can't see it without loading the profile in the graphics card LUT.
335mm high, 513mm wide and about 75mm deep.
Hey guys, I have been enjoying my 2209wa so much since February that I ordered a second one. My problem now is that these two monitors display colors entirely differently! The new one is much more blue/white tinged as opposed to the slightly yellow/grey of the first. You can slightly see this in the linked image. The settings are the same on each.
Is there any good way to correct this? I have already requested a return for the new display. There is no way I can deal with this difference, regardless of which one is more accurate.

Why in the hell do you have Gmail's spam folder displayed?
It's ridiculous that they keep honoring the price, but only through the phone and a little convincing. Why not just sell it for $212 on the web site?

Is it me or does the monitor on the right have less of the sparkle effect found on all nearly all IPS panels? I also have an early 2209wa and the the sparkle kills an otherwise perfect monitor. I would love to rma it and get a newer one that has a lower effect...
Are the two monitors the same revision? I know that during some point, they switched production facilities from china to mexico and this may be a result of that shift...
Can someone measure the exact height and width of the 2209WA bezel only? I know its a 22" display but the specs say 14" high. Thats from the ground I think.
The sparkle effect can be photographed, it's just tricky and is best done with a DSLR + macro lens in raw format with special postprocessing. Any normal photograph is going to show exactly what ToastyX says, jpeg artifacts and moiré, not the real sparkle. The sparkle effect can't be photographed. You're probably seeing differences in jpeg artifacts + moiré, but I'm not seeing a significant difference there either.
These photos have so much moiré that I'm not sure I can see any discoloring and be sure it's not moiré... however, the brightness falloff (especially on the right side) looks like it belongs on a 30" IPS, not a 22"...Examples:

http://bayimg.com/CaHKoaACE (spotty backlight to the left, and gradial darkening on right edge)
