I still use mine on a 2nd system. Working great. This HD crap is just a fad. If it can't be seen with 1680 horizontal pixels, it doesn't need to be seen. ;-)

I still use them as my side monitors, one has issues from time to time, but it's still going strong.

I had 3 of them and one was given to the mother in law that is still running. The other 2 are connected to my electronics work bench for troubleshooting and my digital microscope. The only failure has been the front power led on one of them but otherwise the monitor is fine. They have definitely gotten a bit yellow as well screen wise.

Anyone still using their 2209WA? I just realized mine is 9 years old, but it's still in perfect condition and is the best for reading text. I'm using it to post this right now.

Though I wonder if there are any newer monitors that are as good or better for eye strain while reading.
$700 new. That was my first wide screen

Mine died last summer (2017) - replaced it with a 27 inch 1440p IPS Acer I got for $220 to hold me over until I 'officially upgrade' to a 4k HDR HDMI 2.1 display (undecided on ultrawide or 32 inch 16:9) whenever that will be.

Still using mine.
But I want to get a new monitor and move this to my second computer (which still has a very old CRT).
