Supsup,

I've folded before, for XS, but since I've come to this site more over the past few months, I've decided to represent [H]. Have a q9450 and a Celeron-420 when it arrives for another pc. I have two questions though:

1. Can I get the F@H app to utilize more than one of my cores? Currently it's using exactly one core for 25% total usage and 2700K of ram.
2. How do I get that F@H tag/sig I see most of you have? (I registered on hardfolding.com)

Nick

Welcome Nick...

To answer your first question, you will need to run the SMP client to use more the one core ... It was made for that nice CPU you have ..

2) ... When you go to hardfolding.com ... search for your name ..
At the bottom of your stats page, select the color you want your stats to be in and your code will be given to ya ...

Welcome to the [H]orde, Nick. Thanks for contributing. :)

Make out to check out the thread on the Chimp Challenge.;)

Correct me if I am wrong, but you will not show up on hardfolding.com until you have completed a work unit for team 33 and the website updates. It may take a bit before your stats show up.

Welcome to the team!

Welcome to the team Nick. Grab a cold one out of the cooler and enjoy yourself. :D

Touche' on the welcome to team 33 Nick :D

You came at a very opportune time, you get to help [H]ard folding team 33 kick some monkey butt and win the Chimp Challenge. IMO it takes everyone folding together (no matter how big or small) and that's one of the great qualities that the folders on team 33 have a lot of. :p

You can safely ask any question pertaining to folding with a computer here. I honestly believe there is someone on team 33 that can give you an accurate answer and make a complicated answer so easy to understand you don't need to be a "brain surgeon" to understand it. ;)

Welcome Nick...

Glad to have you here folding with the mighty [H]orde!!!!

Oh, and the tamales are in the back of the cooler, behind the beer.

Welcome to the [H]orde. :)

As others mentioned, the best way to maximize your quad core is to install the SMP client. If you want maximum production, run two SMP clients and then install the Affinity Changer app. It will get you the most PPD outside of running virtual machines.

Not as complicated as it sounds ;)

If you need help with anything just ask!

Welcome to the [H]orde

Welcome to the [H]orde!

Here's what you put into the thread to allow your tag to be seen:

{URL=http://www.hardfolding.com?go=38&id=631651}{IMG}http://www.hardfolding.com/ftag1.php/mem/631651.png{/IMG}{/URL}

Change the "{" to "[" and "}" to "]"

and it comes up like this:

Welcome to the [H]ardest team in the world ;)

Welcome and enjoy the fun it brings killing cancer and other diseases.

Oooppss looks like I said whored instead of [H]orde always getting them confused.

Not that it really matters or it's a "big thing", but from the little membership time I have with the [H]ard (not whore) forum or folding team the members have always catered to all and every individual asking for help, making everything from the name of the team to folding very, very simple, even for those that seem to be maturity and intellect challenged. (not only about computers and folding, but about life in general:))

At any rate, welcome aboard, glad to have you and frankly w[H]orde or [H]orde works, we know what you mean.;):D

However, the use of w[H]ore in regards to folding is trademarked by me so I will require money if you do indeed use it.:p;)
