Contrary to popular blog posts, namely his, John McAfee hasn’t been sandboxed and is still in the wild, just like many of the viruses his software is supposed to catch. :D All weekend, news outlets have been reporting that he had been captured at the Mexican border. The rumor was actually started by John McAfee himself from a blog entry. This guy is probably a real big hit at parties. :D

McAfee himself has professed to concocting up elaborate disguises to evade authorities, including dying all of his hair (mustache and eyebrows included) jet black in one instance and, in another, allegedly impersonating a limping Guatemalan so well that it fooled an Associated Press reporter standing nearby.

Its no big deal. He's only doing it to make his story more attractive and exciting as a movie deal.
 
He's just on the run so he can find new viruses to combat. They should just let him be.
 
He's just doing his own bathsalts again...nothing to see here.

So what you are saying then is the cops are about as good as his software is? Except they'll eventually find him?

He's trying to get himself turned in at the states, where the police will treat him with respect etc, vs where if he turns himself in where he is with the corrupt government they'll beat an illegal confession out of him cause they'll make him sign anything they want.

He moved into one of the most corrupt governments on earth in an effort to seek from paying taxes, and didn't think far enough ahead that he wouldn't have to pay the corrupt government to stay in business where he is.

Look at Sergei Grigorovich in the Ukraine, owner of GSC Gameworld that made the STALKER games, the local corrupt government wanted, I shit you not, 90% of his profits because "He didn't deserve the money, they did"

So rather then pay out to the corrupt government, he shut down GSC Gameworld, and even then the local Ukraine government has tried to make his life hell with repeated arrests, holdings, harassment etc in an attempt to get money from him.
 
Exactly. Too many people are viewing this story through the eyes of the local government they are used to.

They are not the same, not in any way shape or form are they the same.

Ok correction, both governments have guys that will beat the information out of your ass if they have to.

Fooling Associated Press reporter(s) is not exactly what one would describe as hard these days. That's a bit like bragging about shooting fish in a barrel with a howitzer.
 
John McAfee's dogs were poisoned and died. The man who was murdered had recently made a complaint about McAfee's dogs.

Sounds like the fucker had it coming.
 
I listened to his interview on the Alex Jones show. Yeah, Jones is a bit of a kook, but...McAfee wasn't raving, wasn't making up any elaborate conspiracy theories. All he did was say that the corruption in Belize was demanding its pound of flesh...and that's a perfectly reasonable conclusion to make, frankly.
 
I used to work with a guy born and raised in Belize, he once said all enterpeuners pay extortions, who you know determines what perecentage. If your connected obviously less, but refuse to pay and they will make your life a living hell. He was fired for stealing last year, go figure.

According to the same authorities in Belize that kicked in his door six months ago and found nothing, and who are now telling McAfee to "man up" and turn himself in?

It's according to his neighbors too. For years he'd become paranoid and on a hair trigger. The victim and McAfee had a feud going for over a year before the death of the victim.

From what I remember it takes a 5 man crew to operate a modern howitzer and intense training to hit your target accurately. So fooling the AP is like bragging about training 5 men how to operate a cannon designed for sieges to hit a barrel 4 feet in height and 3 feet in diameter.

Now that said, I would love to see a video of a howitzer blowing up a barrel full of fish... So yeah, I guess what I'm saying is find me a video of a howitzer blowing up a barrel of fish cause that sounds awesome.

Who said this was coming from the government? McAfee was an idiot and frequently posting online in discussions in attempts to make up the drug 'bathsalt'.

There are pictures of him in his lab in his house where he made that stuff lol. He can deny it now, but the dude is a whack job. I know the government can be corrupt and all of that, but 10 bucks says he killed the neighbor.
 
Wow! He combats electronic viruses, manufactures mind-altering substances, kills people, and is a master of disguise. Is there anything John McAfee can't do?
 
Has been confirmed reported, that on Nov 29th when Belize government realized he was no longer in Belize, they have again raided his compound and they took everything possibly they could from the place, its been literally gutted of -EVERYTHING- of value as they try to get money out of McAfee

Reportedly in the latest raid on Nov 29th they have taken over $400,000 of various stuff like TV's, computers, appliances etc etc, even taking valuable plumbing fixtures out of walls etc leaving the house a completely gutted shell, along with all the other buildings on the compound.

You -STILL- want to say Belize isn't a corrupt government?

Or more to the point, why doesn't he just get out of Belize and live someplace else? It's not like he's hurting for money to move.

You mean how like the FBI will bust into the member of the home of 16-year-old girl for having used the low-orbit ion cannon app (helped participate in a DDOS) and will take the computers belonging to her parents, her tv and every other electronic item even though she admits she only used her laptop? IE -- taking a bunch of stuff they really didn't need; especially when they have a confession by the 16 year old? Once someone confesses, do you really need to confiscate family member's items as evidence?

Nor is it illegal in the US. It's just a matter of how long it takes for another compound formula to be developed once the FDA bans the current iteration.
 
He said the bath salts thing was a troll. That he was actually working on developing an antiseptic or some such. No drugs were found. While I believe that he is a bit of a nut job. I doubt he is the maniac he has been portrayed as by the media.
 
The McAfee Chronicles, should be a video game. I can't wait for his next adventure.
