It's here!! DFI Infinity P965-S

Looks good on paper, but why no reviews? I'd think the DFI bots would be clamoring for this thing...

Is it possible to replace the NB heatsink on those big wide heatsinks like the BadAxe and this mobo has?

holy smokes.... 540fsb? bwahaha. craaaaazy... must... resist.... temptation.... ooooohhhhh

bah, they took their time

Would have been nice 6 months ago when I bought my new 965 system :p

DFI San Jose will also sell this board to you direct for $140 plus shipping. If you get to him early enough, William Yang there will ship the same day. (I ordered one on Wednesday, and will get it tomorrow.)

i think DS3 willl do 540, if we know what are doing.

but this board running almost par with 975x

Perhaps, but this board has Firewire, which Gigabyte decided to leave off the DS3. If this board had been available a month or so back, I would have bought it. It has everything I want...firewire, 3 PCI slots and good for OCing and I like having the on/off and reset buttons on the MB. If it comes with the same fan software that the Lanparty NF4 came from, then all the better (gigabytes is crap, and I like DFI's better than speed fan).

Hope newegg gets these and they aren't $150 by the time I can afford to build a new rig. :p

I bought mine from EWIZ. 160 shipped(Tax in CA) I will post results some time next week.

true, but most people tricks the strap using clockgen :D

true, but find me a ds3 that'll do 500+ on clockgen. and i'm not a big fan of settings after initial bootup. I love clockgen/memset mainly for the ability to tweak and test

I sent him back the signed, scanned form on Wed night. Looks like Monday for me...works out well, I'm off til then. :D

Does this support both crossfire and sli? May be a newb question but I am not sure how that works.

with sli, you'd have to use hacked drivers. not sure if that's possible with vista / newer drivers. at least that was the case with 975x. not sure of the details though since I never considered sli.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this guy... I'd like to see some E6600 overclocks....especially if you had experience with other 965 boards and the improvements/shortcomings.

someone on xs just got one today. i'm not sure if he got it from ewiz or yang, but if the latter, then i should be getting mine tomorrow.

Yeah, saw a guy with my exact setup (Ballistix DDR2-8000, 8800gts, DS3 3.3) so I'm eager to see what he gets.

If anyone sees any reviews, post some. I am considering this one. Need to know how it is though.

this thing surfaced on newegg. no image yet and no stock, but it's listed. perhaps tomorrow will be the day they go live :)

YES!!!! This is the board I've been waiting for! Now time to scope me out a e6420!

If you want one now, http://www.shopblt.com/cgi-bin/shop...110030005019_BL93754P.shtml&order_id=!ORDERID!
Not sure how much cheaper they'd be at launch, but I think it would be unreasonable to expect $183. Remember how far from msrp the e4300 was at launch.

Quite a good price if you ask me, since as it is, it's cheaper than the e6400.

Also, newegg is now OOS again. It's been bouncing all over the place. Looks like newegg underestimated people's interest in this. If they had known, they should have started it at $200 for a week. I'm sure they would have still easily sold out at the rate they are now. DFI could easily make a commando-esque model and sell it at that price.
