Nice, I got the 32GK850F-B from the $250 Costco deal...really nice monitor. Not as sharp as my previous 27" 1440p (obviously) but I prefer having the larger size.

Seems to work just fine with G-Sync as well.

Was thinking of the 32" Acer at Costco currently on sale for $330, xz321qu, only downside is that it's a curved monitor. But supposedly has 1ms response @ 144hz. How does this one compare?

Not sure of the Acer just know hardware unboxed rates the LG the best all around budget 32” monitor of 2019.

If you have G-sync enabled----its probably automatically switching over to free-sync. Recent Nvidia cards now support free-sync.

Very nice, I am waiting for a 27" hot deal but this one looks good.
same.. these deals are awesome for the 32's and if it was 5 or 6 years ago i'd be all over them, but now i just feel anything over 27" for a monitor is to dang big unless it's an ultra wide.

Probably a silly question but does anyone watch movies on this and if so how do they look?

Yeah, that's what I mean - the monitor supports Freesync, but I have an nVidia card and the monitor is G-Sync "compatible".

Never heard of the "VA" display technology on this one.

Looks like VA is rated between IPS and TN but overall very good.

ETA: Looks like deal is dead.

While this is by no means the definitive differences between them, IPS tends to have better color and viewing angles, VA typically has much better contrast and do tend to be slower. But as technology increases expect differences to get closer, although depending upon your needs you might find VA more desirable than IPS. There definitely are pros and cons to both though, so I probably wouldn't put a blanket statement of "IPS is the best!" out there, most TVs are IPS, but quite a few of them would make horrible monitors.

What's the issue with curved? I literally do all my viewing facing my monitor directly. It's on an L shaped desk in the outside corner of the L while I sit on the inside corner looking towards the outside corner (facing the corner of the room). What am I missing for a growing hatred need?

I bought a 27” MSI curved and even being VA it introduces a lot of light bleed around the edges. I do still like it, but the LG is hands down better in all ways.

I dunno, I just pulled out a tape measure to see how much bigger this (or any other 32") screen would be, and lets just say compared to the existing 23" screen I have the wife definitely would notice it. No way I can ninja a swap in :D
