Hey guys and gals. I just wanted to let you all know that Irishllama really needs our support right now. I just got wind that he has got some heavy stuff going on at home and that is why he hasn't been around too much lately. I won't go into his personal details here, because it is not my place to say but, just send him some love and let him know that we are thinking about him in this tough time.

Irish, if you have time to read this, know that the [H]orde is thinking about you and your family!

Peace,

Chris

Hey Llama, I know I'm still new around here...relatively so anyway, but hey man, I think I speak for everyone when I say: whatever you're going through, you'll get through. We're here for you man, as much as we can be anyway, if you need to talk or vent or whatever, drop a line to me, or I'm sure some others here and we'll be happy to help. The [H]orde isn't just a quest for a cure, it isn't just a team, its a family, our family. Not to be cliche or anything, but blood is thicker than water, and there is no blood that pumps harder or better than here.

Give a shout if you need anything, in the meantime, I send you my best, a little good luck, and a few prayers.

They're right Llama, we're a team and we care about our members. Take care, I hope things work out well for you man.

He's underage...keep it on the DL ;)

Llama, remember that your [H]ard brothers and sisters are here for ya. I hope everything goes well for you and we'll be praying for you.

Thanks guys, Yeah if you all did not know. My mother has A herniated disk (err spelling) C6 and C7. Its in her neck and pressing against her spinal cord, She has no feeling in her left arm. So I have been helping out more, and my grades have been slipping. We are trying to postpone surgery for as long as possiable. Only true free time without having to go help her is after 11. So this is why I post late. Thanks again.

-LlaMa :)

Never met you, but best of luck to you & your family.

Just remember, no matter how bad it may seem, things can always get worse. I know from experience (don't ask, just trust me on this one). ;)

Oh I trust you... I wont get into details either. But we had much worse then this 12 years ago.My mom would not care about this if she was not in pain. She said the pain is non stop horriable.

Hey Llama, I really hope things work out for you and your mom. I know I've only been here a short time but I've immediately noticed how close everyone pulls together in times like this and you can count me in when I say we'll be there for ya.

Best wishes for you and your mom.

Edit: Fixed bad spelling

Best wishes to you and your mother especially. I know what it is like to go through something like this. Just keep on keepin' on.

Hey Llama I've got the same problem, I slipped 2 in my neck, can't remember if it was c6 or c7, one of those and also c2. I didn't lose all feeling but my left arm hurt like a bitch for awhile. After about 4-5 months it let up and now it's just a nuisance more than anything. Neck pain constantly but my arm is usually not too bad. Your mother will get better. Don't let it affect your grades whatever you do, stop posting here if you have too but don't let it affect your more important work.

Take care of the important things like family and we will hold down the fort until you get back.

We'll add you and your mom to out prayer list.

Fold On!!

best of luck to your mom... i have a few friends with back problems. they suck:( (the problems, not the friends)

i've actually heard that surgery isn't always the best way to go. just toughing it out, doing physical therapy, etc. is better... but that may not be for herniated discs. i don't remember exactly what problems they have/had.

Yep, you are correct r_j. I think the general consensus now is pt and rest ends up being better than surgery unless it's something critical like severe nerve damage, which sounds like what IL's mom may have. I think most back/neck injuries are related to discs too.

I have 2 cracked vertebrae that I am supposed to have vertebroplasty for but haven't done it because like I told the doctor I am not going through all the pain and complications of back surgery until I can't get out of bed in the morning anymore.

my dad has to go in for back surgery too.. his bones are all collapsin on each other.. damn arthritis.

Today is a good back day. No real pain. It has been about 3 weeks since I had pain bad enough to keep me in bed.

Anyway back on topic.....Llama best of luck and try and make her comfortable.....I never can really find that comfortable spot with my problem but if you find her's it will be a god send. She isn't kidding about how bad it hurts.

Hey llama,

Hope things are on the mend with your mom. If ya need anything [extra boxen, prostitutes :p] you let us know. We'll hook ya up :D Take care of yourself, [H]ardbrother.
