My girlfriend's phone just arrived at Newark, NJ at 7PM. Went from Fort Worth, TX -> Memphis, TN ->Newark, NJ. Scheduled to be delivered in Allentown, PA on the 23rd.

Oddly, my phone still hasn't been entered into FedEx' system, still says the tracking number is invalid.
 
hmmm interesting. Mine arrived at Newark around 3am from Anchorage, Alaska!

the iphone doesnt store contacts on the sim unless you're jailbroken, but if thats what you did, you can just cut your normal sim to be a microsim.
 
Tracking says OUT FOR DELIVERY, man hope AT&T don't cancel my order. Fingers crossed.
 
You guys are lucky! I still haven't received a shipment confirmation email or tracking number when I check the order status. Got my at&t order confirmation email at 3:30pm EST on the 15th... anyone else still waiting?
 
Figures mine says that the delivery date has changed from today to tomorrow :-( maybe Apple got to the,...
 
Ha a friend of mine just called me, his also got changed to tomorrow. He called Fedex and spoke with a rep who said Apple had informed them not to start delivery until tomorrow..... Dam it...
 
UPS is here and just handed me a box from AT&T, man I hope my order isnt canceled.

While I didn't get into the pictures like the previous poster....FedEx just dropped mine off at work.

My FedEx tracking still says it's at the sort facility in a city an hour and a half away.

XLeezardx, I looked at your pictures and thought, "no way, this guy is sneaking onto a UPS truck to look for his iPhone... no WAY!" but then I saw the one of you, UPS guy and iPhone 4, haha.

Awesome pictures. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up my reserved one tomorrow. I already bought a Zagg Invisi-shield for it last week. Not sure if I'm going to get a case this time or not, but I'll at least look at the bumpers.

Just received mine at my office this morning so I'm reporting in.

On a related note; are any of you guys who just got the phone activated noticing the signal bars seem to be out of whack at times? Mine was showing no bars and then 5 bars from the same location and when I used it to call while showing no bars it didn't have any problem. Might just be a temporary thing I guess.

From Walt Mossberg's review:

Both Apple (AAPL) and AT&T (T) told me they worked to make the iPhone 4 do a better job with AT&T’s network. For example, the phone itself is surrounded by a prominent stainless-steel trim piece that acts as a large antenna. And Apple said it also tuned the phone to try to grab whatever band on the network was less congested or less affected by interference—to stress the quality of a signal over its raw strength. AT&T said it, too, made some changes to its network with the new iPhone in mind.

But, in my tests, network reception was a mixed bag. Compared with the previous model, the new iPhone dropped marginally fewer calls made in my car, both in Washington and in Boston, and was much louder and clearer over my car’s built-in Bluetooth speaker-phone system.

Yet, in some places where the signal was relatively weak, the iPhone 4 showed no bars, or fewer bars than its predecessor. Apple says that this is a bug it plans to fix, and that it has to do with the way the bars are presented, not the actual ability to make a call. And, in fact, in nearly all of these cases, the iPhone 4 was able to place calls despite the lack of bars.

As The Rattman might say, the bar is a lie, because you're actually getting just as good if not better reception even with a lower bar count. 4.0.1 will fix the way signal strength is represented to be more accurate to the new system.
 
Just got a phone call from Best Buy. They got their shipment and setup a time for me to come pickup my phone tomorrow. Perfect.
 
I gotta admit guys. I honestly haven't felt this hyped up about a product since the N64 when I was like eight. I bawled my eyes out when I opened up my package Christmas day to see an N64 and Goldeneye.

It's killing me to see the FedEx shipment information, it's like counting down the days until Christmas.
 
Maaaan, still "In Progress" and I'm thinking despite having ordered on the 15th, I got shuffled into the later delivery group. Zoinks.
 
quick question for those who've already gotten their phones: when you activate the phone, does it allow you to pick which number on your plan to activate the phone with?

for example, if i use another members upgrade on my account to purchase the phone, when i activate the phone can i tell it to activate on my line and download my sim information? or do i need to figure out how to do a sim swap with a microsim?

Still waiting for mine, says Out for Delivery but Fedex has not been yet....originally said by 3pm and now that is off the tracking and it is almost 6....
