Too expensive for kid toy![]()
I honestly think it's a supersize ME itouch![]()
I think full-scale is highly debatable.
No debate at all. I can remote desktop into every machine on our network and use any applications on them right from my iPad.
I simply found myself wishing that the screen were a little bigger when I was surfing on the couch, or when typing up documents. Enter iPad.
Why would you want to type on an iPad (assuming the on screen keyboard) extensively?
Sorry, didn't mention it in my post, but I use a bluetooth keyboard. It's the Zagg/Logitech hard case keyboard thing. Works perfectly and the short cut keys are very nice too.
My iPad has basically replaced my laptop. It's not desktop replacement, but for the vast majority of tasks, I use it instead of when I would use a laptop.
Remote dekstop + dropbox + google calendar sync = basically everything I need from a work perspective.

This is partly the calculation I made when I decided to go for a Tablet convertible PC instead. Personally, I would be much more forgiving about the price of the iPad had this been made with a Wacom digitizer, for having a real pressure sensitive stylus is such a boost to productivity on a tablet!
Those are some awful poll options, haha
