can someone debunk this for me? ie9 uses webkit? yea or nay?
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
The new ability to Pin a web site to the task bar is nice. I'm not sure if I'll use it heavily. I like my taskbar fairly clean, but the ability to directly go to a jumplist of sections the web site defines is kind of cool.
Will install over IE8?
Yes, the beta does, the platform preview doesn't. Too bad these forums make IE9 fall back to IE7 rendering mode.
Hit F12 then Hit Alt+9
No kidding you can force it, but you shouldn't need to.
Installer seems stuck about 20% of the way into "Downloading required updates..." Anyone else having this problem?
it happen to me too but just stick with it and it will finish
Ah cool thanks, started wondering what was up when it was getting into 30 minutes territory for the install.
Oh wow.... I dont know about that lol![]()
Why does the IE9 rendering style cause nearly all fonts to look fuzzy and out of focus?
Yeah I have a decent box and decent connection, I dunno what's up. Network monitor says there's nil activity and it's using nil CPU. Seems broken etc.
Can someone please do me a huge favor and take a screen shot of the favorites bar enabled? Thanks.
Any requirements that I'm missing? I'm getting "Service Pack is not supported" when I try to install it.
What OS? Theres a different version for each OS and 64bit/32bit. Make sure its the right one. I suppose you should make sure your fully updated too. (I say so muhc obvious crap)
Yeah, I'm with you. I have to have my bookmar menu towards the center/left of the page. It's my natural clicking motion and I don't feel like changing.like it, but hate the "favorites" location.![]()
