Internet Explorer 9 Beta Released Today

If you plan on using any sites that use jqGrid, you might as well forget this beta. There is a ton of stuff that isn't working correctly.. getting cell data from a table doesn't work properly. It will always get only the data from the first row of the grid. No amount of mode/document mode settings in IE9 will make this work.

The up/down sort arrows are invisible, although this can be "fixed" by changing to IE8 mode in IE9.

I had to uninstall it and go back to IE8 since I am developing stuff and cannot have IE not working with jqGrid.

Desktop gadgets are rendered using Internet Explorer, so some issues with this beta may manifest through gadgets.

On the up side, this also means gadgets are now hardware accelerated. We might start seeing some very rich gadgets now that they wont bog down.

i've had no issues with my gadgets but then again I don't use that cpu gagdet I have a G15 keyboard with an LCD so don't need it.

The gagdets i'm currently running is just the weather one and Coretemp and they run fine no problems.

Yeah, it messed up the All CPU meter and it screwed up the Now Playing add-on a bit too. I should have just kept ie8 installed. I'm still not going to use ie9. I'm sticking with Firefox. It's good to see that IE will finally be a decent browser now. Hopefully this will result in safer browsing online for the clueless majority that use it. The main thing I like about IE9 is the GUI. It's nice and clean, I still regret installing it though.

So those gadgets use features that don't work correctly in this beta. That'll get fixed.

So wait, the browser is decent, but people are clueless for using it? Why would you be clueless for using a decent browser?

Might want to stay away from all beta and preview software. Bugs are common...
