Not saying that you definitely have it, but the choice I am talking about is on another line than the list you gave. On some BIOS screens, after you choose IDE, another line will pop up where you can choose IDE options like enchanced or compatible.

There are no other choices. Just AHCI, IDE, and RAID.
Some of those AMD chipsets can split the ports between IDE and ACHI.

The one before this did on the bigger drives but not the smaller ones.
