mehhhh I'd rather spend nothing and keep my current system. intel is still making loads offf these sales, a worthless crappy mobo, some mediocre CPU and a copy of windows you can get for free off of M$'s training site (thats where I got it anyways)
 
Anyone finding this registration process very frustration?

I'm not getting the prompt! Anyone else having the same problem? I've got over 13,000 points and employed by Best Buy Canada. I just didn't find the time to attend their movie night event (which was tonight).

*to be honest this bundle is so so.. rather they give me a t-shirt instead of the Adobe softwares, but since i took the effort to earn 13,000 might as well order it! someone will trade/buy it off me eventually.

Went to the movie night last night, wasnt too bad only about 60 people showed up and they were giving away 3 bundles free. A co-worker of mine won 1 of the bundles. It was worth it to go just for the 2 free movie tickets and $20 worth of free concessions.

I went as well, to the Philly event. Big turnout, the movie was OK, some of the stuff was very tacky, but ohh well. One of our employees got kicked out though, that was funny. Afterward we saw Doom on the Giant Screen, that was cool.

BTW, still looking for someone to take this thing off my hands.

No movies near me, but I have 8445 points and the web site is down! I registered for the sales side of things and got the bundle, but was never given the promo code either. Glad to see they are on top of it.... I just sent an email to retailedge@intel.com to see if they will give me a hand.
 
I still have my complete ticket...and never got to see the movie...so I going to use it again.

DOOM wasn't that bad.

The girls of destruction had me turned on for a few minutes until I saw them playing on laptops..and was like WTF...lol.

I can't wait to order this deal.
 
those that know can appreciate this... although i have no idea how far ahead of the competition I am so Ill probably drop back a bit.

Well the retail edge site is back up. For those who were verified at an event, it is going to take ten business days until you can order the bundle :D
 
That does suck about the waiting to get verified..You should only need to verify once.

because they want to make sure you are still an employee at time of purchase. if you verified at signup, then a year passes you could lose your job

I'm not saying a year. maybe a month at most. hell. they're verifying at events that take place before the purchase date.

I was too lazy to do the tests but am buying the motherboard, proc and elements off a friend who did do it for 200 bucks. I could care less about the xp pro as I have an action pack from ms and have some extra copies lying around. I'm getting it off him as he has the 3.4 from last year and see's no point replacing it with this as the 3.4 will be better for games.
 
People should post when they get their codes just so the rest of us know around when to expect them :D
 
That's the thing. They don't do it all at once. It's a very staggered process.

I just noticed my points are 12345. lol I wish they were faster with verifying.
 
I got my purchase code already. It says combo retails at $1500 but $1285 discount. There is no way it will cost $1500 for that. I will order it in a week or so :)

how did you get it? Was it e-mailed to you or did it show up when you logged into retail edge? if in R.E., what part is the code located in
 
I verified at the event and it was emailed me. They also have the code on the site, so you can just click link and buy it.

I have this bundle....im upgrading from an old amd 2500+ system....should i just stick with this package or should i go ahead and resell the mobo and processor and buy the x2? (and duh im a gamer)
 
My friend ordered one. It should be here in a couple days. He'd put the order in yesterday and its slated for a Nov 4 delivery. I just put in the order for mine today. It seems like they've been really prompt with the shipping.
