Ikea desk gallery

Very impressive, but that's retail. Chances are they can be found for much less.

I'm sure a couple have "fallen off the back of a truck" ;)

Those are some pricey stuff but next to an generic dell keyboard and an optical mouse? Time to upgrade :)

Meh, different people, different priorities. My keyboard and mouse combined (G15, G500) retailed for around the same price as my aging speakers (Klipsch 2.1)... But that shows where my priorities were. Not that a 5 dollar keyboard and 10 dollar mouse don't look a bit out of place sitting next to $2500 worth of audio equipment though. It's like having a stainless steel Sub-Zero fridge in your kitchen sitting right across from a 20 year old Hotpoint stove you picked up at a yard sale. Whatever works I guess :D

True, there are a few used by the looks of things, but only a few. Those prices i took from a couple of places i buy from that are very well priced. You can find the monitors for upto £1500 and the sub up to £900~

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Very well done, I'm in the middle of re arranging my setup as well
Thanks! I was telling a friend how no one comments on mine - and a few hours later - you did.

So uh, can you hear anything at all anymore. You pointed those things at you like they are weapons.
I can. It'd be worse if I put the sub on the desk though.

They are nearfield monitors, they are designed to be used up close.
Correct. I am a tad too close, but still with in reason - but barely. I need to be back about another foot or two to be in my optimal position. My next desk will put them back a foot or two and the distance between from a speaker to my ear is the same distance that they are apart. And the sub will go under the desk. But for critical listening right now, I angle them out and move my chair back a foot or so.

That's tough without knowing the make/model.

Looks like the JBL LSR4328P monitors (£1250~ a pair) and LSR4312SP subwoofer (£800~)
You are correct sir. I paid USD. USD is about $1500 for the LSR4328p's and the sub is about $1,000.

I've use this Microsoft Intellimouse Optical USB for years. I've tried various mice before - but this is the one I've used 75% of the the last decade. Keyboard - it works. I don't game and it feels comfortable so I've stuck with what works. New setup will probably change the keyboard and mouse.

Yes, 4 supplied wood screws. Like the Signum, it can pretty much be installed anywhere under the desk

Nomade_6979 - you could have placed all 3 links in the same post.
Nice rig, btw. That's a large amount of hard drive space. It must be for you "art collection". lol
Welcome to the family!
