I have a sickness.

So basically there is no justification for a 6990 unless you want to run Quad-Fire. Maybe.

I have always considered dual-GPU cards to be dangerous or useless, especially once dual PCI-E slot motherboards became ubiquitous.

I know the feeling. :)

We should start a new Club, like the Upgradatis Anonymous. The UA. I have a sicknes also.

I just bought 3 mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX Blues, Browns and Blacks: typing with Blues, playing some games with Browns and others with Blacks. Sigh.

And my kids are playing on computers with AMD Tri-Fire set-up in them...

It's a non-ending spiral... And I'm not talking about high-end video and audio in my HT. This is alot worst for me. :( Changing projectors, speakers, pre-amp, etc like crazy. I'm in the process of buying a 4K projector. Sigh. :(

Nice all you need to do now is to buy 2 more 4k projectors and have them set up in eyefinity

Part of me wants to try Tri-Fire 6970s :(

Hahaha well i was in the same boat as you, When i ordered a XFX HD6850 i liked it and i had another slot for a card and i thought what the hell lol so i bought another but tri-fire! Damn:cool:

My 6990 is at 1050/1350. Alot of 6970 can't even go that high. :) Low-leakage cherry-picked chips can go a long way. :)

 Do you have an idea about the cost of one of those. Some people buy entire house for less $! :D

But with my ''sickness'', I can't make any promises I won't go in that direction. And it would take more then 4 high-end cards to drive those...
