Rumors and leaks from "reliable" sources are saying HTC One is coming to VZW - it has even appeared in some of the systems 3rd party stores use to add phones to accounts
Any ideas on when yet? I really want to get this phone.
June 26th, same as the S4.
He means release to VZW, not Google Play.
HTC One Google Edition for $599 on Play Store just announced

Is the ATT One, locked down like they did to their version of the Galaxy S4 ?
Or can the ATT One, be rooted and flash ROM's and kernels with CWM or TWRM ? I used to have the One X, and that thing sucked for flashing, due to being S-On, and having to use the bootloader and boot.img to flash with Command prompt stuff, etc... really sucked. Would like to have no S-On crap and have to flash through the bootloader,
I just like to reboot to the Recovery only, flash the zip, and be done. Can that be done with the ATT One, or would I need he "Developer Edition" only to do that ?
Not sure if it has been addressed already, but will One be pretty up to date or will only get like one update.
A quick scan of XDA shows that the AT&T HTC One has had the bootloader unlocked and has some form of custom recovery. Check for yourself to see if it meets your needs.

This would be great... I want stock Android. Sense doesn't bother me that much, except for some things like BlinkFeed and I don't like having to use third party launchers.
Its launching late because vzw declined to carry it initially. Hopefully this marks the beginning of the end to the DROID line and Verizon finally rises above its device arrogance.
The problem was never the output. It's the input. No bluetooth mic. Correct me if I'm wrong.I Think they fixed it. I have the latest rom and I was using blue tooth audio yesterday. Was having problems getting it to work today though. I had problems on the stock rom so yeah.
Looks like signups are open again for getting $100 credit when buying an HTC One and sending in your old phone. If you have an older phone laying around that is eligible, this is a solid deal.
