Hi,

Currently, I have my E8400 OC'd to 3.6ghz using a 9x and 400Mhz FSB, however, with a 1:1 ratio, my RAM is running at 400Mhz.

My ram is actually rated as PC2 8400 1066Mhz RAM. Is there a way to set it back up to those speeds with my current overclock using a 400Mhz FSB?

I'm thinking it has somthing to do with the DRAM frequency and FSB Strap settings in the BIOS, but I need a little enlightening on how to set those/what to set them to.

Is it actually better having it at a 1:1 ratio? will I have much of a performance gain if i were able to get my RAM running back at 533Mhz speeds?

Thanks

What mobo are you using? Also, what oc'ing is avalible within your bios?

You won't see any performance increase in real world apps from upping your RAM speed to 533Mhz. So not worth the effort IMO.
