ah! thanks so much!p[H]ant0m said:There is a guide on how to set the console up for timeless here, step 14 in particular. If you're running the graphical, there is a toggle in one of the tabs for timeless.

thanks so much!Tigerbiten said:Some numbers.
All from an AMD boxen.
Small Gromac's run around 1.6 - 2.2 PpHpG.
Ambers run around 1.8 - 2.2 PpHpG.
Timeless Tinkers run 2.4 - 2.5 PpHpG.
Normal Tinkers run aound 3.2 - 3.5 PpHpG.
Big Gromacs run around 3.2 - 3.5 PpHpG.
AMD64's give you around a 15% boost in speed with Ambers & Gromacs.
At the moment I'm running around a 66%/33% mix of Big Gromacs & Normal Tinkers / Small Gromacs with the odd Amber, Timeless Tinker, DGromac thrown in just for fun.
If I get all fast WU I can run close to 2,400 - 2,500 PpD
With the mix I'm getting its closer to 2,000 - 2,1000 PpD.
That still faster than the 1,800 PpD that Timeless Tinkers would give me.
Luck............

I consider timeless as a last ditch effort for something folding. Either the system is too slow to guarantee that normal WUs will be returned on time, it is not on enough to make sure normal WUs will be returned on time or a system is on dial up which the queueing of up to 10 WUs keeps the system with something to work on.
