HELP!!!

OK wow... 621 is the highest in that database for a pro... but its clocked slower than mine and that is my 24/7 oc on this card, it hits higher then 625/725 its the one in my sig, but I figured since it was going to be 24/7 100% then I'd back it down a smidge. My cpu has to be adding to the calc in the gpu only mode. With GPU and CPU clients I'm right in line with the results in that database.

We're pretty happy with the results of the QA from our new GPU core and we are working with ATI to do some more extensive QA. If that goes well, the next step is a closed beta, and then an open beta (i.e. downloads on our web site).

It's taken a while to get to this point due to many fixes and changes under the hood. Some of these changes have to do with new ATI development tools for using GPUs (these changes will help the reliability of the code as well as solve a lot of issues donor side, such as problems with drivers) as well as new science we've put into the GPU code, to bring it up to date with what we now do on the PS3 (in fact, some features of the GPU code are not present in the latest 1.3.1 PS3 version, but we hope they will be included in a future version).

I would suggest opening up ATI Catalyst and verifying your AGP speed, it should be 8x, also in the bios there are several options for the vid card and I set the memory aperature to 256meg. I have fast writes enabled. Not sure if any of that impacts the performance, but maybe it will help you figure out what is causing the 100 pt drop.

I'll check since I'll be going through the BIOS one more time to find that elusive HT setting (if it exists). I might even flash it to a newer version later this week. I do remember the aperture is at the very lowest setting. I believe all video-related settings are either disabled or at the lowest. For ex., video BIOS shadowing (whatever it's called) is disabled. I guess I should optimize the BIOS settings to help my video card as much as possible.

Leave the video BIOS shadowing off. You won't get anything out of that. That is a really really old performance setting which is of no use anymore. You'd be more likely to run into problems with it on than off.
