WAY too much for that hdd, go with the samsung 1tb instead pretty much the same performance and cheaper.

Get a ssd.

If you are not overclocking I would go with an itx mobo and case, it will be smaller since thats what you are looking for.
 
Depending on what he's doing in the realm of media I could see an ITX system being okay but if the OP wants any expansion capabilities I can't see that being very feasible.
 
mATX vs ITX really depends on how small the OP wants their system to be. Even with an ITX system, for drive expansion you could always get a NAS; for TV Tuner you could go USB and/or Ethernet (HD HomeRun); so an ITX system isn't really that limited in terms of expansion capabilities, unless you want some SLI/Crossfire action, lol.

@OP, your RAM is pretty high voltage for an Intel setup.

The TJ08-E is a really nice case. If you want something smaller, the SG02 is good.

How much space do you need for your media? I'd suggest at least a 2TB drive, but I'm not sure about your usage, so... it really depends on what you plan on storing.
