HD5770x2!

given the price/ performance in comparison, i would agree.

i don't really get that impression based on all the reviews i've read, even at 2560x1600.

possibly those who only can afford a single 5770 now, and then might add in a 2nd for xfire to get 5870 level performance down the road (when prices drop).

plenty of reviews like posted above show actual gaming benchmarks where 2x5770 are beating a 5850 at high resolutions/ settings/ AA.

even with the memory bandwidth issue, it doesn't prevent 2x5770 from scaling well enough to perform on par with a 5870 in the majority of games (and even outperforming it in some games)

i only saw one game where 2x5770 performed poorly - where they only were slightly better than a single 5770 - and that was in dow2, which obviously has very poor multi gpu scaling.

in the end, one is probably going to get a more consistent gaming experience across the board with a single 5870 though. still, 2x5770 isn't a bad deal at all if you can only get one right now and add another down the road when they're cheaper.

Oh crap you just fed him. I guess you don't know whats going on. It isn't about the 5770 or anything logical. It always reverts to his 4770 X-fire and his benchmarks.
I ask anyone who posts or thinks logically, give it up! Your just being troll bait.

Funkymunky is using his brain. That is all.
Here is funkymunky's post for posterity:

By your logic SonDa5, if Funkymunky is "using his brain", then he is right. You also make yourself look like an ass in the process. You are a pathetic troll. You need to stop posting before you make yourself an even bigger ass.

[facepalm]

Quit your trolling.

Considering he was just quoted before he changed his post ( a habit he can't seem to quit) I think it should be all but obvious what his aim is. We have fed him, and fed him well. He is playing anyone who will fall into his lonely trap, and playing them well.
If his post sounds stupid, it was meant to be. If you fall for it, well you have been warned.
You have just been PUNKED!

Time out.

Quit trolling SonDa, I love how you stop responding to your other troll threads when someone put you in check.

On topic. I don't see why it is so hard to imagine that you'll have more consistent performance with a single card compared to being driver dependant with crossfire. The ONLY reason to go 5770 crossfire is if you plan on buying one now and then buying another later because of budget reasons.

Quit thread crapping already GAWD, this thread was so good until all these thread crappers starting crapping their crap all over this completely NON-crappy thread.

:D

I wish we could just see this thread without anyone's posts but sonda's. That would be good for a laugh and a half.

Let's try to keep this thread on topic folks. This thread is seriously getting out of hand.

That would be funny.

But anyway...if there were ever going to be a 5770x2 card, it would have to be priced at $199-$225 or else it wouldn't be worth it.

Between Hd5850 and HD5870 or I don't see it happening.

Nobody would buy a HD5850 or a HD5870 if a HD5770x2 were priced at $199-$225.
