HD4770 3dMark06 Scores

needless to shout man! :D
i did explain to sonda5 what i said earlier, the fact that I use this asus M2G allows by itself to clock both card by setting the vgpu once for all!
It was impossible & it is impossible with my DFI LP JR P45 & DFI LP LT X48 T2R for some reason i don't know...there is no secret here except facts!

setting vgpu using smartdoctor works for both card now!
asus motherboard with "asus TOP card" work like a charm...

hhmmmm

Is this a new version of Smart Dr?

Or a new Asus Top BIOS?

Where can I download!!!! :D

No sonda5, no secret here!
Just the fact that I use this mb allow me to oc both card using smartdoc 5.38: setting the vgpu and it is applied to both card...
And the bios is only the asus top one! ;)

If you want, i can post a video of all this...

Sounds amazing.

:D

Asus needs to make their Smart Dr. GPU app smarter so that it will work on other motherboards.

If they don't hopefully full RBE or RIVATuner will help out soon.

A video would be cool.

With all that tweaking seems like the scores are kind of low. Not sure why. Maby the CPU needs more tweaking??? or Video special voltage?

Stock max clocks on the Sapphire HD4770s with Q9550@4ghz.

Next step will be cooling upgrades and tweaking adjustments.

Taking a 2nd look at your monster over clocks and I'm still amazed.

Awesome.

Still having a blast with my HD4770s.

Broke 18,000 in 3dMark06 with a single HD4770.

Some ridiculous scores in here for 4770's.

SonDa5, killer OC on your Quad. I'm not into cooking my Q6600 just yet, even though the OCZ Vendetta 2 I've got installed on it is keeping the temps super low. I'm looking at 1.475Vcore to stabilize enough for prime95, OCCT, LinX with my Quad @ 8x400. If I run at 1.5+ I can hit 3.6... I don't like running that kind of voltage through something I just took ownership of though. :D

I'm running my 'new' Q6600 @ a nice safe 3.2Ghz and a single 4890 @ 1.337V/990/4500, using Smart Doctor. Pulling in ~17500's.

Windows 7-64
GB X48-DQ6
Q6600
4GB G.Skill 8500
Asus 4890 TOP
WD 1TB Black

Just a comparo.

I'd post up a pic, but ORB seems to be down/ridiculously slow for me at the moment.

go go go! my sapphire HD4770@1000/1150

Nice score! :)

With my DFI P45 JR and Corsair TX650 I'm having a hard time to tweaking my cards to run 3dMark06 at the speeds your are running. Your HD4770s are faster than mine or you are better at tweaking them. :D

I'm going to try your settings.

I see you're using 32bit xp. sooooo behind the times! Professionals use Vista Ultimate x64!!!

lol.

old scool but so good! :D

vgpu@1.261v: good cooling makes everything...

Wow. Interesting thread. I ran a 2 gig 4850X2 for a while and could only hit 18000 on 3DMark06. With my current GTX275, I only hit 16800. What's giving these 4770's so much muscle?

quad core @4.05ghz & gpu@1000 mem@1150 help a lot!
For that: it is highly recommended to flash the bios card to asus top one otherwise hiting 1Ghz for gpu is impossible!

40nm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most powerful chip in the history of chips, so much more powerful than 55nm's.

Anyway: i prefer my "superficial" rig, all my games run fine on it...:D
it can stand the fight against my hd4890@1000/1200 + q9400@3.84ghz on my P5evm!

Is that a single card?

I have great air cooling but I'm still unable to get my card to go as fast as yours.

Very nice scores.

Running Xfire is trickier to OC than single.

I can totally relate. :D

yes sonda5! only one single card... it's on my DFI Blood Iron P45 elite : only one pcie slot on this board...

It seems that we are only the 2 guys who trust in this card! Nevermind! ;)
I do have 2 gainwards HD4850@750/1100(DFI JR P45) & one sapphire hd4890@1000/1200 (P5E-VM HDMI) but i recognize that the 3 HD4770 perform like a charm: 2 hd4770@1000/1100 on my maximus 2 gene & this single sapphire!

Let's say that the rig DFI JR P45 w/ CF hd4850 + e8600@4.5Ghz draw more power than my rig w/ M2G +q9400@3.8ghz + CF 4770 (400w vs 300w on 3D load)

Maby it's the full 2.0 16x PCI slot. Awesome score for a single HD4770.

Use Windows 7 and see what kind of scores you get.

I wanted to do that but I want to do a RAID 0 configuration and from what research I have done so far RAID support drivers for W7 and my MB are non existent.

I'm going to see if I can figure it out today.

Pretty insane seeing a little 4770 card basically able to beat say, an 8800 Ultra in 3dmark. But is a 4770 going to have smoother game play than a 8800 Ultra at say...1920x1200...or even 1680x1050? I never liked 3dmark though, I just don't see the point in it.

1680x1050? I never liked 3dmark though, I just don't see the point in it.

1680x1050 works well.

This is just a benchmark like many others. I've owned HD4850s, HD4890 and the HD4770 is right on par with performance with both of them but it does monster benches. :D

HD4770 is a great card.

did not make a fresh comparison of my gainward HD4850 GS oced vs my sapphire HD4770 for some times:
Fight to come:

Wasn't meant as a dig. I just don't understand is all. Anyway, what kind of fps are you getting with the 4770's?
