I was happy with my 4870x2 'til it started squealing about 10 days ago. Bad fan. I returned it and am trying a GTX 280. So far, so good and I saved about $150 by switching to the 280.

It costs me $50 to upgrade from a GTX 280 to an ASUS 4870X2.
I am happy so far but I would have liked better performance in Crysis Warhead.
