Ok So i have been running my XFX GTX 295 single PCB for about a month no issues, and then all of a sudden this past week it just EUE's

it starts a WU and gets to about 5% and then gives up.

EDIT: Temps are fine around 50c under load for both cores

I am running no other folding task so its got 16 cores to play with.

What all have you tried so far? They OC'd? If so try taking it down to stock speeds and see what happens.

Sorry, I'm not much help =/.

Is this with a specific WU / project, Nitro?

Hmm, that's wierd. Sounds like the issues I had but mine were from square 1, you've been fine fir a while now, and mine are the dual PCB models

Not sure what to say bro

Ok so i turned off SLI and PhysX and now GPU0 is folding again:)

But

GPU1 is now EUEing:(

It never ends.

Do the usual; stop the client, delete queue.dat and the work folder, restart. Hopefully that'll take care of the EUEing.

Ok well i deleted everything and i cant download any cores

Stanfords webpage is still down for me as well, and I dont see anything yet on Pande blog or foldingforums.

Maybe they are rolling out the new SMP and GPU cores?

Well after multiple driver reinstalls and app reinstalls i nuked my OS

Installed win7 x86 and it does the same thing. :(

I noticed yesterday morning my #1 core (295) had halted due to EuE. I dumped the folder, upped the fan speed and started it over again. So far its been Folding away. (I'm not O/Cd)

Maybe the 295s weren't the best deal after all ?

I have had 4 of them over the last year and they have all been a PITA

Ive got 2 and since I switched to XP they have been going 24/7 stable, no lag or anything in windows, work great

uhh I hate XP though

I might switch to linux so i can run my SMP native and then try to run the GPUs in Wine

He uses XP so I doubt it

then again, hes got a shit load so Im sure hes had issues somewhere

and his rigs are not exactly daily driver rigs lol
They just sit there making shit loads of points

to bad disabling aero kills the folding on the cards otherwise that would solve all your problems.. though i nuked my XP install with the last nvidia drivers updates.. so makes me wonder if its the drivers that are the problem.. never had a hiccup with the 186.18 or 185.85 drivers folding in XP.. thankfully this will be the last nvidia card i use.. but thats for a different thread..

still dont see why people hate XP.. it does everything vista and w7 does it just doesnt look as good.. but does lack the ability to do display driver recovery instantly instead of BSOD'ing

Does immersing them in intoxicating grape juice help them run cooler ?

What do yo mean disabling Aero? What does that do?

One reason i dislike XP is because after almost 10yrs of being patched and updated it has become bloated and slow.
I have to run XP for work rig, and i cannot stand using it anymore and its a good computer Q6600 4gb ram WD640 HDD so its got a solid base.
I guess its just win7 looks better cause i cant really quantify what all i like better but its a much more enjoyable experience than using XP.

I just went back to a techie friendly distro of XP64 and Im using it on 2 rigs now, must say its rather nice

I do miss 7, but I'll save that for another rig another day

Well, ain't that a bitch. Come home today to see core 3 of 4 is EUE'n, and on every WU I try to force it to get
3 was always the one slowed down when I used pandora or YouTube, so I thnk it's something I just nstalled

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get more time and I can reload XP
I was going fine until this

1 thing I did notice, somehow in ntune my cards which were stock were all now underclocked. odd...

can happen when the nvidia drivers fail it gets locked in 2D mode.. to protect the card.. happened to me a couple times with the gtx 260 in windows XP.. havent bothered to overclock yet in w7..

Got a fix for it?

tried, no go
I'll update drivers if I can and see whats up

Damn, reinstalled XP, now I'm losing one core on each card, DAMN IT

Man, these cards are finicky?!

Anyone on this team running the GTX295 hassle-free?

Got one back, I'm up to 3 again, but core 3 is instant EUE for me, even after fresh install. It wasthe same card the went down in my old setup

I had the one issue mentioned, but other than that it's "hassle free' Although I'm going to go more with "at the moment" ;)

My 3rd core has that error that somone started a thread on , CPU usage 100 or something like that

Any ideas? If so, there is a thread for that, I wonder if it's related

No mine still does it if I turn off all my other folding stuff.

I have 16 cores in this box so its getting plenty of CPU cycles

LOL, for no reason today it stopped EUEíng
I was working in the basement getting ready to put up the outer wall and door in my folding/gun room and I needed to wire in another outlet, so I flipped the breaker, but it was the wrong one and I shut off my rig. Anyways, I come back upstairs, fire it up, and low and behold, its folding again!

I swear, sumtin about these cards... if it would have stayed running I'd be top 20 PPD for more than 2 updates, but Ive fallen again. Now I'll have to wait another week to hit that list, but I should have some SMP help soon lol

Yea im thinking about trading mine for 2x 275s

when it works its great, but its too much maintenance for me.
