Can you turn headlights on/off on the 360? Also are there any other cool little quirky things that aren't well known that anyone wants to share? Thanks.
 
Headlights are automatic unless you smash them in. You can change between full and dipped though.
 
if you press triangle while getting out of a car niko leaves it running but if you hold it he turns off the engine

That's worth a shot. The best reaction to your car has to be with the police cruiser though. People actually respect your driving path.

Of course you can, hit another car to turn off. Steal another car to turn on.:D
 
depends what time of the day on the 360....

during the day you can turn the headlights on off
at night you can go high beam low beam

Easy on the Bullshark Testosterone there. :cool:

Tap the left button while you're in a car and you'll smash the side window out (assuming you didn't already do that while stealing it). Saves time when you need to open fire on someone while driving.

Anyone notice the Chinese character on his lower back? I had to ask my fiancee what it meant. Pretty damn hilarious. Not sure if it's a spoiler to describe it on here, so PM if you want to know.
 
Something else I noticed, a minor detail that really adds to the realism.

When you're in a car, and you're about to get a cell phone call, you'll get the "cellular interference" right before your phone rings.

It's great, because it happens to me all the time. The first few times it happened in game, I was like "shit, my cell phones going off"

No, you can adjust them - but good news! The whole 'X' button is dedicated entirely to that completely redundant feature, rather than to something useful. Do we want the headlights to come on automatically when it's dark, and assign the X button to something useful? Fuck off, do we. That bitch is for headlights.

Guess what else? The 'B' button, another of the four face buttons - some of the most important buttons on a controller, and those with which console gamers have been familiar since the gamepad was invented - is dedicated to the cinematic camera! Huzzah!

Yeah, gotta admit the default driving button layout sucks ass. I haven't looked at the others yet but I should now that I think about it. Least they could have done was to put gunfire on B or X. Who the fuck wants to fuck with a bumper button when you're driving? Gets in the way of braking.

The only thing obnoxious about the layout is that fire is mapped to lb, it should be a face button. Accelerate and brake wouldn't work as face buttons since they're not analog, and with the way the cars drive you absolutely need analog acceleration and braking. Its not perfect, but I guess I'm missing your anger here...

I guess they set the LB to fire because you use the Right analog nub to aim?

Would be kind of hard to aim while firing if you had to use the same hand, no?

So what if they "wasted" face buttons on novelty features. How many do you need while driving, when the primary car functions are assigned to better choices?

I preferred playing with classic controls. Although it made it difficult to shoot while driving, you generally did not have to in chase missions. In situations where I had to (i.e.: protecting Kim in the boat) I simply switched controls just for that part.
