Who does? Google? Sholes, Hero, Dream, Magic etc. etc. are all running Android, and that's the bit that Google provides; we aren't talking hardware, we're talking software. Android is on multiple phones spanning Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, with AT&T joining soon enough. This isn't the googlephone, it's a googlephone.
Whoever thinks they're going to take a significant loss on a product they don't even build has their head in the clouds.
sorry...did I miss something? Is this not the google branded phone that they contracted HTC to make for them, but certainly are owning product rights and earning direct revenue off of...or is that a future phone that I'm getting confused about? Because I don't know why Google would spend the money on a google branded phone to compete with non google branded phones running the same android OS, unless they wanted to make a profit on the phone itself...
