Word up. Sorry for all the questions I just want the best computer and want to make sure I get the right stuff without any problems.
 
I'm installing the motherboard into the case now and I ran the psu around back of my case. For the 8 pic connector should the shapes match up from the plug of the psu?
 
Yes, they all match so that the plugs can't be inserted into the wrong connectors.
 
But even if the pattern with the plug of the psu and the connector of the mothwrbored don't match they still do fit.
 
I'm positive. Would the right cable had come with the power supply? Or am I missing somthing??
 
The only thing I can think of is if you managed to get the 8 pin graphics card plug connected in to the motherboard connector, but they are different pin housing shapes, so that's unlikely.
 
If it helps at all I have the corsair AX750 pro PSU.

Thanks for the help. I just want to know if anything would happen if its the wrong plug. The 4+4 Pin ATX/EPS 12v cable is the one I'm talking about.
 
Would you be willing to take some pictures of the motherboard connector and cable plug and post them?

top left is the 8-pin power for CPU, far right middle is motherboard power (24-pin)

the CPU power plug will be 2 4-pin connectors that slide/fit together

you should have some cables that say PCI-E or similar on them and those will be for the graphics card(s) once installed. PCI-E are 6 pins +2 slide/fit on piece making 8-pins total like in this pic

The 4+4 plugs fit side by side to form the 8 pin plug for the motherboard CPU connector.

yea i know that. i just wanted to make sure that the shapes dont have to match up. if you look at the pics i posted it shows a pattern with the 4+4 pins and the 8pin on the motherboard

Little mod i thought of doing. I had an old case laying around so i decided to take one of the front fans and put it in the 3 bottom slots of the 800d.

I added the H100i cooler today with 4 fans plus one at the end.



I added a little mod to the bottom. Im creating a little more airflow to go through the GPU's



total of 9 fans :D
 
Just make sure there is a pathway for the airflow. Some fans pulling in air and others pushing out air. And remember heat rises so have the exhast fans be closer to the top of the case.

I am we'll aware of that and made sure that the top fans are going out. Ill post a diagram around 5 tomorrow showing the airflow directions.

Just added my hard drives and the OS. This computer is one quick mother f#%*@$. :D I tried to overclock it and was having problems. I put it to 4.6 and changed the CPU volt to 1.20000 and when I start it up it wontt fully load windows. I would have to go back into the bios and set everything to default inorder for me to get back on normaly.

I went back and changed the core ratios to 45 and nothing to the voltage amc it works perfectly fine now. No boot error
 
I had this computer running and I just got my network adaptor in the mail and put it right in the pci slot. When I go to turn the it on nothing happens... I take it out and still nothing happens. I had this monster running and I checked everything.
 
Wait, what NIC did you buy?
What do you mean "nothing happens"? Like the PC won't boot?
 
Tp link. TL - Wdn4800 450mbps dual band pci express. Yes the computer won't boot at all now

Possibly. Or you bumped into something you weren't suppose to. Or had a build-up of ESD and shocked the system like that. Or you simply forgot to turn the PSU switch to "ON".
 
The power switch is on ha. I just simply added this part I just don't understand how I could of messed up. What should I do Now? What parts could I possibly had fried.

I'm just going take everything out of the case and put it all back in.
 
So I took everything out and put in the mob CPU psu ram and heatsink and try to turn it on and still nothing. Could it just be the mother bored?
 
Did you turn on the PC using the screwdriver method? Did you reset CMOS?
