The screw driver method is when you use a screw driver to connect the two power pins that's part of the front panel connector/power button connector to start the PC.

Read your manual on how to reset the CMOS

Just to be clear; Your PSU switch is set to "ON" right?
 
Yea it's on. i tried reseting it and the onlything that happened was the night flashed on and off in the front panel. not sure what you mean by the second method.

Gonna try one more time: In your motherboard's manual, there should be instructions on how to reset your CMOS battery. Resetting that CMOS battery will clear out any improper or poor UEFI settings you may have set. Thus, your UEFI will be set back to stock settings.

Also if you have another PC, test as many of your new parts as possible with that other PC.
 
yea i undwestand all that and i did everything you told me to do. This is the only desktop that i have.the only sign of life that i get is the green light on the motherbored and sometimes when i push the start botton a light flashes on the power botton for a straight sec.
 
Did the whole test like you said. Conclusion is the PSU. I did the paper clip test and all I got was that stupid twitch and that's it.
 
Did you hook up a few fans to the PSU first? Some PSUs dont' start unless it's powering something.
 
Sure did. All that happened was the Twitch of the psu fan and nothing ells
 
Time to try a different PSU then.

Although, try a different outlet in the house first. You have no other desktop in your home? What about your friends and/or family that may live near by?
 
Did that already too. Nope, live in a town of laptops haha :(. I'm going to give corsair a call Monday to talk about this and what I can do. You thinking a larger psu

No; your PSU should be more than enough power. You may need to initiate an RMA on the AX750.

Are you connected to a surge protector or an UPS (uninterruptible power supply)?
 
I got it off amazon and the 30 days have passed so I sent a request and will be talking to corsair Monday if I cant return it

Sure am. Always connected to that at all times

Just talked to Corsair and it is the PSU. i will be sending it in tomorrow and they are going to be sending me the ax760! They are out of the 750 so they are upgrading me haha. winning

I cant recall the modle or make that Im using :eek:


I just got the 760ax in and installed and the computer is up and running again.
