I don't see how Samsung could sell refurbs until it's completely certain what caused the battery fires and that it fixed the problem. Even if it does, refurbs could damage Samsung's reputation: "eh, give them to India or Vietnam, no one will mind if it injures a few people there."

Hah, pretty much what I thought as well. If they do sell them again though, I'm sure it will be at a significant discount compared to their original price and I doubt they will ever support them with any software updates still. I wouldn't touch one unless it was like < $100 and would relegate it to use around the house or something. Just keep it in a fire retardant case or something, hah.
