Galaxy 780

Huh? Their pricing is identical to other manufacturers (occasionally $10 more on a several-hundred-dollar card, but usually identical), and refurbished replacements are standard for computer parts/electronics.

The last few generations they have been a good $20 more across the bored for the 560ti-580. Same with the GTX 6**. It seems like they are finally pricing themselves competitively this time.

? Their prices have always been the same as other companies. They only charge $10-20, for factory oc models sometimes (not counting the classified). Have no idea where you are going with this.

The gtx 770 soc looks fantastic in all white. It would be nice to see a 780 version of it.

Proof? They have always been MSRP for their reference-clocked, reference-design cards just like everyone else. Just like everyone else also, their OC cards or custom-cooled designs have a premium.

Just about two months ago I was looking for 660tis on Amazon. EVGA was $300 for a basic cooler, MSI was $300 for the OC two fan cooler (standard prices). The EVGA counter part was $330.

Before rebate this GTX 670 by EVGA is about $360:

Where as this GTX 670 by MSI is the same price:
http://www.amazon.com/MSI-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-N670-2GD5/dp/B008BGXYAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370472619&sr=8-1&keywords=GTX+670+MSI

MSI has a higher clock and a better cooler, yet costs the same. MSI has mail in rebates as well which are valid most of the time, where as EVGA seems to feature them less frequently. My point being when MSI gets a rebate again (if they do for the 6**) it will be cheaper than the EVGA once again.

Now it seems like the prices are closer which is a good thing, but this was not the case when I was buying 1 1/2 years ago and 2 months ago.

I just bought a Galaxy GTX 780. I hope I made the right decision since I just spent some major bucks on a brand that I am not familiar with. I have always bought EVGA since they have a good reputation, but Newegg was out of stock, so I went ahead and got a Galaxy 780 since they have a representative that post on this forum. I have always been hesitant on buying anything other than EVGA ever since BFG went out of business and I got stuck with a broken graphics card.

You won't be disappointed.
I just bought two GTX 780s from Galaxy, not out of desperation or low stock, but by choice.
I've had all the cards from all the NVidia partners, was a loyal BFG guy forever.
(by the way.....PNY was honoring BFG warranties not too long ago, you might want to shoot them an email?)
I saw all the good things Galaxy was doing and said what the hell. They support [H], so here I am.:D

I've already had three emails from them just welcoming me on board and giving me a point of contact in case I need anything.

Just thought I'd mention I bought 2 Galaxy GTX 780s last night. This thread pretty much made the decision for me as to what brand to go with this time. It's great to see active community participation and support here at the [H].

I went with Galaxy this time around due to the availability of their cards, the competitive pricing and this thread! I love how there is a Galaxy rep on my most frequented forum. I got my card and registered it right away for the extra 1 yr of warranty. Looking forward to many many hours of gaming on this fuckin beast of a card :)

Galaxy GTX 780 Owner here- first Galaxy product- the presence here on hard did certainly play a role in me picking Galaxy ;)

Not sure if it has already been answered but what is the time frame for the realease of the 780 SOC? Looks amazing and that cooler looks like it can fit in the ncase being designed here.

I too am wondering if a release date is close on these. I'd settle for a ballpark date if someone in the know couldn't be specific:D

Ok, I'll break down and share some specifics on the down-low: Expect to see these cards later this month.
