So I had bought a VX450 as my first modular PSU, and to my dismay realized that it's what I would consider a hybrid. My understanding of modular (and yes, I couldn't be bothered to check it out or look at the pics) is that you end with only those cables that you truly need.
I am looking at the PSU, and I see quite a few cables which are permanently attached, but I have no use for. Of course I could take the whole thing apart, and remove the ones I don't need, but that was what modular was supposed to do for me.
So is there a PSU that's truly modular where you could essentially install it in your case without a single cable sticking out of it (if you'd wanted to)?
