SOLD

I basically just set it up, configured some games, and put it away for Christmas. Wife found out about it... didn't approve and now I must let it go.

$700 shipped COTUS.

If you're local I can remove whatever the shipping fees are and meet you. Scranton, PA. I also travel to Philly regularly.

My eBay is Dayaks85 and I've sold to KazeoHin on the forums (Titan X).

Bummer! Sad to see you go. Maybe one day your wife will come around. :)

Made a deal if I tile her kitchen the VR will return next Christmas. Kids will be older then too. Was a little worried about the youngest (2) wandering too close and getting beaten with a remote anyways.

It's a pitty, my eldest would have lost her shit over Google Tilt Brush.

WTF? Thanks for taking one for the team, OP and other guys with total hardcore beeyotches for a wife

I don't think anyone here is whipped. It's called choosing life haha. It's understandably expensive but you just have to present a good case to your wives.

You have to pitch it to your wife as "Hey, it's cheaper than any decent treadmill and I can easily stay fit when I'm having this much fun." Just Google HTC Vive and diet or fitness. You'll find a ton of Reddit testimonials among other sites. The extra added bonus is that the wife can use it and it's a great reason to have social events at your place.

I tried that, her response was, "you could stay alive by not keeping it."

She doesn't appreciate tech. So blind siding her or making a deal (tiling the kitchen) is practically the only way.

That's too bad. I've had the Vive for a week and I already lost 3 pounds without even really trying. Imagine what would happen if I actually tried to lose weight?

Keeping you active will help you have more energy and it should pay off in the long run too with less sick days or medical bills (maybe even live longer?).

In my opinion - It's a long term investment that will pay for itself many times over.
