Hello all !

I've been a fan of the Horde for a while now. I'll be a regular folder even after the contest. The value of the research being done here will be felt long after I'm gone.

I have a core I7 920 running at stock right now. I have an IFX-14 heatsink with fresh quality grease and just could not find a stable overclock. So right now I am running it at 2.66 Ghz with the SMP client. Most A3 units are just under 5 minutes. 6702's are right around 12 minutes/frame I think.

I also have a GTX 295 running two GPU clients. Average is just under a minute for most WU's.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte X58-UD5 and I would certainly appreciate any help in getting my overclock back to 3.6 Ghz. It was prime95 stable for a weekend, but folding SMP WU's crashed it.

You may want to try using LinX 0.64 to stability test it. Any time I have gotten 12 hours out of LinX I've never had a box fail folding. Prime95 is good but you want to use the "maximum heat" setting to really stress test it.

Alternatively, which I7 920 do you have? C0 (SLBCH) or D0 (SLBEJ). The "SL" codes are what's written on the box. D0 should get to 4.0Ghz fairly easily, C0 to about 3.7 - 3.8.

That Gigabyte board should be a pretty good overclocker too. If you want to try, Tweaktown is the official Gigabyte forum and a lot of people share OC settings there too, or you can post here and I can try and help you with your settings.
