I really only read the [H], and the forums here, as well as r/hardware and r/buildapc on Reddit, for tech news. Most of the good stuff gets reposted around these sites.
For review articles, I love Anandtech for their technical information. The [H] articles tend to be written more along the lines of "how does it perform for gaming", whereas Anandtech has a bit more information on the underlying architecture. As an enthusiast who primarily uses my system for gaming, I prefer the [H] for video card reviews and real world CPU benchmarks, but I usually read Anandtech's reviews of new CPUs as well for the architectural information.
Back in the early 2000s, there was a nice website that had a british guy that would do video reviews of a bunch of different hardware/electronics. I remember specifically a review of a Vantec Tornado he did.
Anyone have an idea of what I'm talking about? Is he still around? I realize that this is pretty vague...
I was about to say the same thing. And along these lines, does anyone know of any other PC modding/case modding podcasts? like building, modding, custom stuff but in a podcast? video podcasts would be nice too!
