Whatever game journalist was whining about the cost of rockets in a plane or helicopter versus the amount of money you acquire by just playing the game is an idiot.
I've played the game for 14 hours, flown a plane or helicopter once or twice, and not at all needed to buy rockets, I'm sitting at around $30,000. I've used the bow and one of the automatic rifles w/scope for most of the game, just switched to an LMG. This is just as I suspected, the in-game real-money stuff can be completely ignored and is only there for people that focus more on buying stupid stuff than actually playing the game.
I'm really annoyed about the co-op progression, especially when Ghost Recon Wildlands had it more or less okay.
Another thing that bugs me is the swap weapons button on the xbox is the same as collecting stuff. I'll end up having the game loot something/one and then swap guns with something shitty on the ground.
Pretty sure Dutch's Island is a tutorial section and therefore it's highly controlled (i.e. no random spawns, no aggressive animals, no travel off the island, and yeah, day/night time suspended in day).Does the day/night cycle only kick in after Dutch's island? Also, is it normal for CPU usage on an 8700k to average around 45%?
I'm a completionist so I'm doing every main/side mission I can in John's region before moving on to Faith's area...I've completed 47/52 total missions...2 of the remaining ones are the comic collecting and lighter collecting fetch quests so they're going to stay awhile but I don't have any icons on the map for the 3 remaining ones...the 2 best side missions in John's area was the alien encounter and the bull testicle collection
Where the hell are the lighters? I've cleared almost everything I've come across and haven't found any
I have that mission but haven't collected any of the lighters yet...one showed up on my map in Jacob's region...
Yes? However... it probably varies heavily on how your setup is (Windows + Sonic/Dolby, or "gaming headset" software, or your card truly is 5.1/7.1) and the game just goes with whatever Windows tells it.hey are you folks getting surround sound in this game?
the voice acting is also top notch...the weapons also sound really good
This is the first game I wish I used ReLive more often. I had a generic rocket ally and the hero rocket ally. They did some friendly fire and one went flying up in the air and a hawk nailed him mid air lol.
Is there a way to set up ReLive to like....how do I put it.....
Say I want it always recording, but to delete itself every 10 minutes UNLESS I notify it that I actually want the recorded footage? Otherwise I foresee an insane amount of storage being used.

A lot of the same models used in FC3 and FC4, with maybe slightly less variation than 4 (which had a ton of assault rifles).
I think you want ReLive Instant Replay (use CTRL+F here https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/DH-023.aspx#Recording).
True, the bow is OP as usual. Try using a shovel. And throwing bats at enemies' heads.Playing this with a pad is strange. It feels like the aim-assist works...but it assists you to aim beside stuff instead of AT it. Especially with a scope. I'll shoot all around enemies and whiff them constantly.
Like I kinda figured, the bow seems overpowered again. Silent, typically insta-kills, retrievable ammo, etc. I can't hit the broad side of a barn with the guns, but I can slaughter an army with a bow.
I'm getting surround sound with HDMI PCM, no issues. Haven't tried using my X-Fi yet, just make sure you have both Windows speaker config set correctly and the speaker config set correctly in the Creative Console Launcher.hey are you folks getting surround sound in this game?
So far loving in it. These games just give great things sometimes. Saved a civilian, go into a building, hear a commotion outside, look out the window, guy I saved was being eaten by a bear.

you can also put a silencer on nearly every weapon...although doesn't seem like a viable way to completing missions as enemies, choppers etc seem to spot you no matter what
yea it is set correctly
So the Girl's section is annoying as fucking hell and doesn't even make sense or I missed something. Running along doing stuff and BAM in bliss dream world...
then randomly I saved the marshal??? WTF???
Also not liking that your character is just a nameless person. feels like a step back. 3 and 4 felt more involved because you had a personality behind the person you are playing. Can we get more generic than being called "Rook" Also feel like a lot was removed in a way over 3 and 4. Now of that stuff may have just been fluffly filler but I didn't mind.
also seems really easy.
If I remember correctly, the lighters are down in those underground bunkers next to small cabins. They have a hatch leading down a ladder. That’s where I found 2 or 3 so far.Where the hell are the lighters? I've cleared almost everything I've come across and haven't found any
Is there any way to save and/or load save games? I see that there's a "save" option under the menu, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. The times I've tried it, the next time I fire up the game I'm in a totally different place.
Based upon the claims of people losing certain missions, I'd like to be able to progress in a more cautious manner.
I just got the lock pick skill to open safes.feels like I'm already over-powered after completing the first major region...any weapon seems fine as long as you have 1 assault rifle, 1 rocket launcher, 1 sniper rifle and 1 pistol...also get yourself an ATV and helicopter and the game is fairly easy...also get the repair tool to unlock safes...don't even need to use the Guns for Hire NPC's
