Use Nvidia Inspector to copy/paste the fallout 3/new vegas SLI bits to the fallout 4 one, then change to AFR2 in the nvidia control panel settings. Quick fix until an official SLI profile is released by Nvidia, i can confirm both cards are being used.

I'm not sure which graphics card you have but for 980 ti although both cards are being used the performance is worse than a single card. You can easily check this when you turn sli on and off with same settings. There was near 30 fps drop with both cards in "sli". I tried many different injector settings and nothing but blackflag actually worked but also came with obnoxious flickering and strange graphics.
 
Anyone experience their weapon disappearing from their hand during a combat situation in a basement or underground facility? Have had this happen twice.

Exiting the game to the menu then starting fixes this issue.

I thought vanilla Skyrim looked pretty good and seeing screen shots and video of Fallout 4.. I think it looks pretty damn good!

I've had it happen a couple of times or so, I found quicksaving and reloading after it happens fixes it easy enough.
 
I got the game working in 21:9 and the HUD appears to look fine,

Mind sharing how? I found instructions this morning online but they were incomplete and even said that the HUD would be stretched.

Anybody using a gamepad? I'm using an Xbox One controller with the new wireless adapter and whenever I just tap the gamepad or the joystick it goes all the way to the end of the menu instead of just moving one. Haven't tried it wired.
 
any word on a patch?...I'm still playing Arkham Knight and I won't touch Fallout until I'm finished with it...hopefully it'll give Bethesda some time to roll out a patch or 2
 
So, can someone who's played a bit fill me in on "Mama Murphy?"

Mainly regarding sight/chems.

Is there a downside to giving her chems and listening to her "visions" or is it better to persuade her to quit them?
 
Played for about 6 hours so far and having fun. Game looks great but still has those goofy animations. It's not a big deal but definitely noticeable after having played MGS V recently. The gunplay is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than previous Fallout games and combat is very playable without ever having to use VATS. The game feels very balanced on Survival mode too and even feral ghouls are quite scary now so a huge improvement in the difficulty over previous games as well. Armor does seem to make a noticeable difference in the game as well. I've gotten my butt kicked pretty hard in many fights wearing my normal gear.

I don't think so. I'd listen to them as it appears that she also gives you things and will have random fetch quests for her. Resulting in money/items/xp in exchange for your services, time and or tradegoods.

i started toying with crafting, this game is overwhelming man, im gonna spend hundreds of hours on it, i can see it already, gee. only mods that i want so far is black painted nails for my character and a pip-boy pda so i dont have to use that thing in its arm

anyone else make their fallout character katniss everdeen? lol i found out the robot can say katniss and everdeen so i made a character as close to her looks. unfortunately he only says ms everdeen.

BTW does anyone know if tihere's a way to use the workbench WITHOUT having to use your arrow keys to cycle through the items?

So annoying, I mean who likes having to take their hand off the mouse to cycle through an item.

Should be able to cycle with the mouse wheel or something that actually makes logical sense.

The robot will only say the last name, so if you want him to refer to you as Katniss you can just leave off the last name.

Also you get a second chance to re-do your characters looks/name/stats before you leave the vault, so you don't have to restart if you aren't past that yet.

lol, they really did go all out with the recorded names. It's a small but yet very awesome little feature.
 
WTF? My copy of Fallout 4 came with two registration keys! And I paid only $32.
 
I'm running now inside the vault at 1080p Ultra on my overclocked GTX 960, and it's incredibly smooth. All I had to turn off was that annoying mouse acceleration, and the game feels fluid.
 
The building tool is fun, but why the hell would they make the only camera angle for it, in first person mode?

Maybe I just got spoiled with Farcry 4s map editor tool.

It would make building 10 times better if some sort of birds eye view could be used.
 
Can someone help me regarding Codsworth.... (early game spoiler)

Where do you find Codsworth after the minutemen move into sanctuary? He was at the house you lived in when I last saw him and said he'd stay there, but I can not find him anywhere around there.

Will he show up again in a main story mission or is my game glitched?

Currently at 4.1Ghz... so shouldn't be to big of an issue.
 
Get a reflex site or two asap. They're amazing, just like IRL.





Also, I made my character look how I imagine my favorite [H] poster looks IRL:

 
just some notes. while examining mods you can tag missing ingredients. that makes a magnifying glass appear next to any junk item with the missing part. Also a + next to a part means it has a mod attached (I think). The + only appears on the ground/body. You can swap mods with the same weapon type. you have to remove it by switching to another type in your inventory and then adding it to the correct weapon. There appears to be a bug with some armors. You just can't see them at the workstation. You can drop them and recycle them but it does not appear that you get much for them.
 
is hacker perk needed if you have high lockpicking? seems redundent and lockpicking seems superior
