EVGA down to 1.2 years

Good Lord, what happened on the 13th?!

But congratulations to all those who've stepped up ppd, and those who have just started folding, I'm proud to fold with a bunch of guys like you. I won't be increasing ppd anymore for a while (I don't have a job, so no new hardware, and I'm not the one who pays the power bill, so my computer stays off at night), but congratulations to all of you. Keep folding!

Very nice boys and girls. I'll be adding to this soon.

Awesome job everyone! Glad to see more people in the fold. Keep up the good work!

ack! zero2dash just popped up on my threat list. He's going to be mowing me over soon with the 10K PPD is is churning out. Way to Fold dude. :D

Nice! Should have a 8800gs to throw in my folding rig pretty soon to try and help get up the [H]rank a little bit.

I've got a GPU client I've been keeping paused a lot lately (I just keep forgetting it's running and wonder where my frames are going when I start gaming) but I think I'll work on improving it's uptime.

I've also got a pretty weak PC that's always running (my media center) that I figure I'll try putting the CPU client on (it's got an x800 Pro... I don't think the GPU client supports it) ...as long as it doesn't cause any frame stutter on my video output.

Maybe I'll drop a CPU client on the laptop too... all it's mostly used for is remote connections to other home PCs and coffee table web-browsing, so it's got some CPU cycles to spare.

I'll make sure all of them are folding for the [H]orde :)

Every little bit counts I suppose!

Thanks E, glad to have the spare cycles. Most of those points come from people with "a few spare cycles" so never under estimate the "casual folder"

For those that remember a few pages back when we were talking about making a F@H review, Ive posted one

its its own thread, give it a read!!

You need one to register on their forums? You need to put your twitter into your eVGA forum profile.

Dunno. I tried registering before, without an eVGA card.
You don't need to own any EVGA products to sign up for an account. Anyone can do it.

Heh. I just signed up. I didn't read too well into eVGA's forum registration in the past.

Thanks, Zero82z!

Overtake went from October to September now...

The steamroller is pickin' up speed!

Well, we've got to up our efforts then. I don't think we can atop them, but we can make them work for it LOL

That's the right attitude!

Going to add a GTX260 SSC and two Quad-Core Opterons to the folding list soon!

do those quads happen to be in the same rig? You could do the advWU then, good scores from there

Can't wait to get my farm up, I'll run at 100k for a week before I throttle down to 70-80

Well i've had my rig down for awhile cause it was just way too hot in the house with it running F@H, but now it's back up and running. Not full time cause i use the same rig for gaming on too but it will be up most of the time.

Not much for points compared to some of you guys but i do what i can :D.

Every little bit helps grandam, thanks!

Has anyone un the numbers and seen what it will take to beat evga back down where they belong??? Oh by the way I have been back in the fold for the last 2 weeks...... trying to ramp and help the team :D

Well..... They are gaining at about 2.9 million ppd.

If the average GPU or 4 core SMP client pushes 4500 ppd. that comes out to: 645 clients we need to add.

Time for another 500 GPU countdown?

yea I would say it is time for another gpu count down :D WE need to also figure out a way to attract some young blood and keep them around....... I am like everyone else I just cant stand the thought of being knocked off the top of the hill. Is there any talk of stanford balancing out the points for the smp client v. the GPU clients?

I don't think that ratio will change......

I do hope that the new GPU client will use an ATI card to it's fullest. This should bring a bunch of new blood from ATI card owner that can now use their $200-$400 cards and not get beat by a $45 8800GS.

Great to have you back in the fold!

I haven't heard anything and doubt it will ever happen. There isn't parity within each client when comparing different WUs, let alone across client types.

Don't we already have one for -500 :D?
Yep. :D

I'm hoping for that as well, not because I have a lot of Ati cards, just hate to see thousands of cards sitting idle when they could be contributing to the project.

Kind of sucks, really. Given that I use my 4870 mostly for folding (too busy with uni work to consider playing many games), I should have knuckled down and spent the extra $50 to get a 260 instead...at the moment, I'm lucky if my 4870 can sustain 3000 ppd...
