If you believe that people won't re-create log files, you are sorely mistaken, seen it done more than once.
Super, so now you have files with a new date time stamp.

I mean all that is easily modifiable, not that the government is going to go in and purposely make you out to look like a pedophile by planting evidence on your electronic device. But if someone REALLY wanted to ruin your life, yeah you would have a problem explaining a lot of things.
So what you're saying that everyone should always assume that they're a criminal or at the minimum, a family member is one. Check.
We must live in different kind of circles.
....We definitely live in different "circles". Mines called, Reality

There are even automated tools to do this, and if you think the government hasn't used this type of tactic in the past you are damn wrong!
I know for a FACT that a systems administrator for an agency did frame another employee for doing some things by using altered time stamps and recreating some files.
This has been discussed extensively at some of the black hat conferences.
...And times were different when I grew up and that must also have an impact. But the point being, the different circles thing is real and there are more than just one reality.
`
An employee framing another employee for malicious means is different from the FBI planting child pornography on a suspects computer.
When innocent you don't need to hide anything. Simple as that. How can they land me in jail when I haven't committed any crime?
Refusing to show your phone when accused of a serious crime is 99,9% proof of guilt.
Well now we know why BOOnie world law is so fucked...BOOnie world is not in the U.S. and BOOnie doesn't understand U.S. law (thus his love of guilty till proven innocent)Let's see. It's legal here to drink when 18 so yes. I have crossed the street where ever, however good luck trying to prove that from the contents of my phone. No I don't smoke and I hate idiots that drop butts on the ground.
Your kind always makes the same argument. You're not the police, you're not sworn by law to hold things confidential and further more, you have zero REASON to see my private stuff. So your argument is not smart at all.
I don't have to. We have completely automatic taxing for this sort of purchases. Any larger shipment gets taxed and charged at the customs. Every year I get a pre-filled tax report from the tax office and all I need to do is check that it's valid. Usually it is.
Sorry to break it to you but you're already guilty until proven innocent. That's why they investigate you in the first place. If the notion of assumed innocence was true you would never have any worry about releasing your phone information - they wouldn't check the contents outside the investigation on the assumption you haven't done anything. In reality it seems that they will search everything even outside the scope of the investigation (which seems quite odd and illegal to me).
You got it wrong. It's not the cops duty to just arrest someone. It's their duty to collect evidence and detain you if the evidence seems to support it. They might also detain you for no reason if you show signs of not wanting to disclose your activities that would prove your innocence.
I'm sorry if you're jealous that I don't drive with a ghetto Dodge full of semen stains and drug residue.
Kind of like how Michael Flynn or Donald Trump said if you are innocent, why do you have to take the 5th amendment? Why all of a sudden is Trump claiming executive priv or Flynn closed up and plans on taking the 5th amendment if they are innocent?
You never.....EEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR give the police your access codes to your devices if you're innocent or guilty. Make them do the leg work.
A friend of mine is currently serving a 5 year sentence for pictures of Marijuana plants he had on his phone. He used to carry a medical card, which expired. The photos were from a few years prior to his arrest and the accusation that he was selling drugs.
So.

Yours is called a fucking nightmare. I wouldn't want to live in constant paranoia and fear of being prosecuted for something I didn't do.
Me - I haven't got a worry in the world. That's one of the benefits of keeping it clean.
Yes B00nie world has honest and trustworthy cops that people can depend on to do their jobs properly. B00nie world has the highest education rate in the world, social security and free medical services for everyone. Yes, even foreigners that come here.
I think I prefer it here.
That would be the same place he's pulling his ideals and illogic from... Fantasy Land.By the way, what is this magical place you live where cops have never committed crimes?
They way you brag about your life to everyone else here and tell everyone they are trashy druggies, really is kind of painting a less-than-perfect image of you. You seem to get really worked up which is making me assume you really do have some pent up anger issues.
You might not be doing anything illegal, but insulting everyone doesn't make you a good person either, not a criminal, but not a role model by any means.
Like I said, I don't distrust every cop I see, I just don't automatically think every stranger has my best interests at heart. I grew up in a small city of 50k and very low crime rate. I have also seen areas that are much worse.
Where I live now, I keep a handgun nice and handy. There are bad people in the world and in such a scenario, I don't have time to wait for a cop to show up when they can (I live in the country so its about 20mins+ for a sherrif). Our cops are quite friendly and helpful out here, I like them. But I don't depend on them.
Good people and bad people exist everywhere, statistically you likely have eaten lunch next to a murder or rapist or child molester. Scary thought is the same people can be in the police force, schools, medical field etc etc.
Maybe it is healthy for you to trust every person you meet, I disagree, but our life experiences have created this difference.
By the way, what is this magical place you live where cops have never committed crimes? I am curious to look up some statistics of it to back your statements.

I only go by on what they posted themselves. You can tell a lot about the conclusions they take. Anger issues? Now that's inventive.
Again, I went by what they posted. If you're scared that your car might have illegal contraband or other evidence on it, you must live in a whole different world from me. Either you're a criminal yourself or you hang around with ones.
I never said cops never committed any crimes. There is a quite public trial at the moment against the head of the drug enforcement agency. I said I can trust them to do their jobs properly - and so do most of the citizens of Finland according to studies. http://stat.fi/ajk/satavuotiassuomi/suomimaailmankarjessa_en.html
Also the agencies have strict policies on data access and if anyone makes unauthorized queries to the police/medical/customs database they get caught red handed. There have been numerous prosecutions where cops or medics were checking the background of a neighbor or childs boyfriend etc. They were slapped with penalties immediately.
Having said that I believe fully that by definition if you refuse to show evidence on base of not having to incriminate yourself - you have something incriminating there to hide. In the case of a child molester having proof of his sick doings on the phone... I truly believe that anyone that's being accused of such a horrid thing would do anything to clear their reputation.
Perhaps in the U.S. you have to be scared of the government and have to protect yourself with the default assumption that you're being treated hostile and unprofessionally. Actually the millions of inmates you have currently are some sort of a testament of that.
You dont get the basic premise and are either unwilling to or are just blind to the facts. Either way its pretty clear you have an unrealistic world view and are just making shit up.
How wrong you are. You have to realize things aren't fucked up everywhere on this planet
Perhaps we have good reason to be suspicious of our law enforcement personnel. Even you seem to have hedged your position with this latest acknowledgement that our nation leading the world in incarceration rates might actually speak to some sort of a problem...you think?Perhaps in the U.S. you have to be scared of the government and have to protect yourself with the default assumption that you're being treated hostile and unprofessionally. Your latest reveal does beg the question of why you thought it appropriate to not divulge the fact that you are not a US citizen or residing in the US when questioning US citizens in a thread discussing US law, rights, and punishments. In polite conversation, at least here in the US, that is considered disingenuous.
I should have noted this a little more it was a governmental intelligence/law enforcement agency.

Fair enough. However I think it's absolutely disgusting what the pedophiles do and I would have no problem to force them wave their rights to catch them.
