i doubt elysian is blaming me for things. :) i'm just the provider of all things Opteron.

and i bet a lot of guys are thankful for that too. though are you gonna jump in on the fun and try to make the top 10?

i wanna see some more dual core action! I have considered removing my IHS, but i just cant bare the thought of killing my 170. It got to 2900, what more can i ask? 3Ghz of course :)

funny story, that. I dont have the change to even buy one from myself at this point! (well, that's a half-truth...if these 148s don't get sold, i'm going to get stuck with 8 of 'em...*sigh*) i'm currently evaluating which platform i want to go with, which HSF (thermalright has a special place in my heart), and which memory...then, bit by bit, i'll put it together. My current 3200+ Newcastle won't get very far.

dave

Still have some tweaking to do, and I'm 1.8Mhz over the limit. Can i still play? :(

i'd get a 144 or 146 for yourself if i were you :D

meh, i know a bunch of guys will boo-hoo me for this, but i'll put you up. see if you can drop that last little bit next time. also, check out what's up with cpu-z and why it's not posting the fsb and multiplier ;)
it's nice to see someone else in the 27's. i'm guessing some bh-5 at 273mhz?

All must bow down in the presence of my mighty Newcastle that scored it in a blazing 48 seconds! You may commence kissing the feet.

-It threw an error when I loaded it. It seems to have calmed down and behaved now.

-No sir, that would be OCZ VX (very first batch), at 250 ;)

Oh, and I'd love to run at 300x10, but my machine seems to have issues running dividers at that speed.

you realize that running at 300x10 with the same memory divider will give you the exact same clocks (well, 1mhz lower :p) as 316x9.5? ;)

that's some decent VX though.. utt-ch can be fun :p

I'd love to do that, except for some reason my memory gives me memtest errors at anything higher than 290x10. Makes no sense at all to me...

Edit: Even this isn't *really* stable. I can't run DirectX games, my video card crashes hardcore.

no matter what the divider? strangeness. also, i made a boo-boo in my pm, i meant 166mhz, not 200mhz :p

Actually, if anyone could help me with this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

My HTT can do 330mhz, my CPU can do 3030, mem 260. But for some reason, none of the dividers are working properly

300X10, mem @ 5/6, gives me ~250 errors in 3 runs of Memtest86+ #5
316x9.5, mem@5/6, is stable, but I can't play any DirectX games, my video card dies a messy death.

Any ideas?

hm, the pci-e bus sounds unlocked?

also, with the memory ratio at 4:5, 300x10 is making a the ram run at cpu/13.. somethign that some people have had issues with in the past. try 300x10 at 5:6, puts the ram at 250mhz

**Fires up some M.C. Hammer**

...can't touch this

just thought I'd throw in an XP score to put you A64 guys in your place ...

uhuh ...yeah ..IN ...YOUR ...PLACE!

just a little more tweaking and then that #1 spot is mine

tehehehe, time to run sPI on my 2500+ barton that happens to be running at stock :D

and the score is.... 57.125s! with 2.5-3-3-7 ram at 166mhz, single channel

Someone needs to do a fresh install of server 2003 tweaked to get a nice 24s score in ;)

too bad my mobo wont do htt past 280

good luck doing that without going over 3ghz ;)

not gonna happen! 24s is SOO hard to read without like 3.6ghz at least

see what happens when you got to SFF when your drunk!

Well, I'm home from RIT for chistmas so I don't have access to my A64 box. (not like a 2.5 winnie could compete anyway) But here at home I DO have my dual PIII 800's @ 1.066ghz each. Superpi isn't multithreaded so there was no point in running that...however aptestm IS multithreaded so here it goes:

clicky

1M digits in 22 seconds...not bad! Take that eclipse! :p

note: ignore that 32 second reading above the test...that was me messing with it beforehand.

Heres with utt-bh5 :)

once i get my PSU from RMA, i will pwn all of joo with my 3200+

tehehehehe i get 30 sec with it......

hehe, i brought my rig home, go figure :p

that's an interesting program though ;)

I'm still waiting for my name to be at the top of that list :D 22 seconds for 1 million digits, and my clock speed is most definitely below 3ghz...even combined they're only 2.132 ghz. :)

Out of curiousity, could someone with an A64 run that crazy program and see what you get? Linky
about halfway down, called aptestlm

270@2-2-2-2 at only 3.5V!! WOW
3.6v silly. dfi's almost always report low, and it's saying 3.56v
i've got some XTC coming in to play with tomorrow, hopefully i can break into 26s with that ;)

single channel goodness on an integrated very inexpensive (read cheap) motherboard ..basically my work comp

If I could just overclock it a smidge more ..say ..oh 1.2gigs worth or so ..and run my mem timings at cas1 1-1-1 1T ..I just might be able to give you guys a run for your hard earned cash with this old barton here.

...or not.
:p

Must get back to top 5 of list. Maybe 13c cold-booted computer get back to top. Struggling to cheat tactics:

..as the computer gets past 20c this is not stable by any means. You people that have basements up north need to put your system down there and try benchmarking early in the morning between 5-7am.

one tip.. DON'T USE BITMAPS! save your pics as jpeg's, or png's. takes freaking forever cause it's such a big file and supload isn't exactly fast ;)

that said, very nice clocks on that dual core.

thanks.. btw I cannot get my 2x512 Ballistix PC3200 to pass memtest at anything higher than 273mhz... I tried 3-3-3, and other timings... you wouldn't happen to have screenshot of A64 tweaker of your ballistix @300mhz 2.7v, would ya? I could use it right about now? :(

here ya go. good luck man.

drive strength = 7
data drive = 3

actually slightly over with 2.8v. how old are your sticks? i have an older stick that doesn't really get a whole lot when run over 2.5-2-2, voltage is the only thing that really gets it anywhere, and even then, it's tough to scale while keeping it cool.

AWESOME, thats is such a big help, thanks! These sticks are about 1 year old I'd say.. maybe 14-15 months?

I'll throw a fan on top of them and juice them up and see what I can pull off.
