feel free to post, just list your memory settings. you probably won't stay on the list for long unless you have an awesome cpu, and even then, a K7 at 3ghz can't TOUCH a K8 at 3ghzSmokeRngs said:Oh, so us non-A64 people aren't good enough for you?
the shot says? notice how a64tweaker puts the memclock at 200mhz, for 1:1Elysian said:what speed do you run your ram at?
in due time. until then, you can still play alongImitation said:Ecplipse I feel like you're singling out us cool people who bought dual core opty's. Maybe we should have an encoding challenge instead![]()
i posted this in the amd forum instead of general oc'ing/cooling for a reasonZxcs said:Is this AMD CPUs only or are dothans allowed?![]()
sure, but that's kinda a dual core/dual cpu thing onlyGLSauron said:Can we do a competition on completing the calculations twice (at the same time?)
what did i say in the OP? i gave out simple directions, but yet i still have people breaking the rules. get a proper pic up and you'll get up there. sorry about drawing the lineJakalwarrior said:Nooo!!!!!!!!!! i'm starting to hate supload, after ~5 refreshes, i still don't see more than ~1/5th of the pic.scwam said:All you guys with your expensive Uber Ram and DFI Lanparteez.
Check this out. It's cheap Corsair ValueRam and I'm not even a good tweaker.
(cf)Eclipse said:aw, coe on guys. i feel like you're not taking my challenge seriously when i look at your settings. a lot of you should be able to get pretty damn close to 3ghz benchable, and just aboue every one of you have some REALLY slackened secondary timings for your ram, which look like auto settings that the mobo would set
get to work on getting serious with this
ShiShKaBoB, how high do those ballistix get with 3-3-3 timings? if you can break 300mhz, i can tell you sPI seems to like ram mhz a bit more than tight timings, with 2.5-3-3 at 300mhz being just a touch slower than 2-2-2 at 272mhz in 1
Yeah, actually I am totally aloof when it comes to a64 tweaker.. if "somebody" would write a guide on it, and what all the timings mean, I'd be glad to know what I was doing.(cf)Eclipse said:aw, coe on guys. i feel like you're not taking my challenge seriously when i look at your settings. a lot of you should be able to get pretty damn close to 3ghz benchable, and just aboue every one of you have some REALLY slackened secondary timings for your ram, which look like auto settings that the mobo would set

ha, this shit is so confusing. This DFI's got so many options that I don't know what to do with. hahaha, sorry man. i have a tendancy to not check when i write sometimes. also.. it should be too bad, just play with things until you figure out what's allowed and what's not. i can probably give you a few pointers if you wantBaker_God said:ha, this shit is so confusing. who is everyone? my ballistix does 300mhz stable at 3-3-3 with just 2.7vShiShKaBoB said:You know I actually have never tried running 3-3-3 timings on this Ballistix, I'll play with it later tonight after work and see what I can get. However I thought subconsciously I've read in various places that pretty much everybody stated that a max clock of 545-550mhz (272-275ish) was the highest that was achieved with the 3200 Ballistix. You've gotten them to bench at 300mhz?? What voltage? I'll play with them later tonight.
pretty nice for not quite at 3ghz and having 3-4-4 timingsChickan said:I'm not done yet, but that is the best time I've spit out yet.
do you have a link for that ram?(cf)Eclipse said:who is everyone? my ballistix does 300mhz stable at 3-3-3 with just 2.7v![]()
sure thing. CCU and i bought one of these each, about a week apart. we ended up swapping ram so i got his stick, and they both clock within ~1-3mhz of eachother:CAD OC'er said:do you have a link for that ram?

depends a lot on the temps, as i'm sure you know. i personally wouldn't go any higher except for benching, even then, not a whole lot. dual core doesn't seem to like a lot of voltageDangerIsGo said:whats the max safe v w/ water cooling...preferrably the apex kit from swiftech which im looking to get in the near future?
neither is mine, same week and batch, from dave... i can prime stable on core 1 at 2800, but it fails on core 0...scwam said:Thunderstruck:
My 170 is the first batch CCBWE0530 TPMW from Newegg. It's not stable at above 2750-2780 yet, at least not on this mb.
typical dual core thing. if you have balls and an appropriate heatsink, try removing the heatspreaderElysian said:neither is mine, same week and batch, from dave... i can prime stable on core 1 at 2800, but it fails on core 0...

Well, you certainly can't blame it on Dave then. I have a weak core 0 too. It's prime stable at 2750 but 2800 I havn't really got it stable either. I think it hits a max at 2770, unless I jump the volts way up from 1.45 to 1.525. This is only burning in one core at a time too. Those temps are hitting 52c with an open case and 68f ambient temps. Interesting that we both have core 0 crapping out at the same speed.
