Does Server 2008 R2 have DE?

Putting together a file server and was thinking about WHS 2011 but kind of wanted the ability to use drive extender... Does 2008 R2 have the file serving capabilities while retaining drive extender?

Nope.

Only WHS v1 has DE.

There are two projects current in beta. Drive Bender and Stablebit.

I think you can do disk-spanning with dynamic disks. I can't remember the exact term, but it's a feature of Win Server. There are some articles on TechNet about it. Drive pooling, or something.

It's probably pretty similar to DE, but not exactly the same.
