I had to cancel my blu-ray subscription because of a cracking issue. Out of 15 blu-rays, 14 of them were cracked.
The problem is the post-office (after multiple calls to netflix). The post-office is supposed to hand-process netflix mail, but normally they get lazy and just pass them through the sorter. The sorter cracks the blu-rays, but DVD's are more flexible, so they don't crack.
So if you aren't getting cracked blu-rays..your post office workers aren't lazy bastards. My roommate even called our post office to let them know they were breaking blu-rays, and within a few days, the blu-rays started to arrive without cracks (for 2 months...now they are cracked again).
