So, I am trying to help someone out by trying to recover the data off their hard drive, I've just finished using SpinRite and it didn't find anything wrong with the drive.

Then i boot up in XP and i Don't see it in My Computer

I checked in "Computer Management" then Disk Management and the drive shows up as healthy and it disk 1.

Thanks for the Help

Corey, maybe it's not formatted in NTFS? Regardless, I'd find the format and try GetDataBack. The trial will let ya know if it "sees" anything recoverable. You'll hafta buy it to actually recover the files.

Good Luck!

It is FAT32, Is that a problem? Since it is Windows ME. I'll try that program, thanks!

If it shows up in disk management.. is it mounted?

Right click assign/change drive letter and paths to make it show up in my computer.

Is it a large drive? possibly there is some drive overlay software on it that Me needed....

I got GetDataBack last week after needing to recover a client's RAID 0 array. I was skeptical, but damn if it didn't work. I also had to get the RAID Reconstructor component. The client was more than happy to pay me for the recovery, and I was more than happy to charge him for it!

I've had a couple of funky hard drives laying around including another RAID 0 set that I hooked up and recovered a few things of my own that would have been a PITA to get again. I'm sold on Runtime products!

I've used that program, and it seems to be doing its job. I just want to try and see if i can boot up to the OS, but when i put the drive in, it just hangs right after the BIOS and right before when it starts to boot with this

and it just blinks forever.

Thank you.
