Recently, I have seemed to aquire a lot of devices (used) that didn't come with a USB cable of one type, or another. Does anybody know exactly how many USB adapters there are?

And one other question: Why is there a USB to RJ-11, or USB to RJ-45 adapter? I mean, what do people even use that for? Why would you need it?

I was thinking about buying that kit, but I wanted to make sure it contains almost every possible USB adapter... does it?

Thanks guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Take care!

There are some devices/PCs out there that may need to connect to the net via RJ-45 or even RJ-11 for certain purposes.

As for how many USB adapters there are, I think a good answer is "a ton". There are some manufacturer specific USB adapters out there. I.e like the ones for phones and such. Thus there's no way any kit can almost contain every possible USB adapter as manufacturers will continue to use their own specific adapters.

EDIT: Oh and it's common courtesy on the forums to wait six hours between bumps.

Sorry about the early bump.. but I know what your saying. This kit contains the most common ones, though, right?
