TWAB is out early! The Bungie team is also live for their block of the GuardianCon charity stream and already pushing into $80k.

    https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47944

The GuardianCon Charity Marathon for St. Judes Childrens Hospital is something they do every year in lead up to the convention and has raised $2M of the $3M 2019 goal so far.

Incredibly amazing what the Destiny community is pulling off.

    **EDIT

    $100k in 30 minutes. Insane.

Damn, if you're still wondering later tonight I can put together a pretty hefty list. If you stopped playing when you were 300, you've missed an absolute ton.

Seriously. 300 basically gets you a little past the end of the vanilla game. That's pretty much it. The expansions all together are longer than the vanilla game. Especially when you add Black Armory and everything else into the mix.

I'm working on a list, so input is appreciated because I'll be doing a lot of reddit and google foo to collect them.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with Vanilla Destiny 2 and its lack of content, once I got to the end game I ground up to 300 and called it a day waiting for expansions. Not sure why I booted it up now, but it is now the game it should have been then and I'm happy to grind up everything. Also having a second kid now has further decreased my spending, so back my catalog games like this are a god send.

This Iron Banner quest is a doozy. We 4-stacked for 6 hours and just got to the final step. One suggestion for those going for it: Warlock and Handheld Supernova with Contraverse Hold. Makes the grenade kills super easy. Our Hunter and Titan struuuugled.

I'm up way too late, next step tomorrow.

As am I. Pretty much my go-to energy weapon now unless I'm running Threat Level/Kindled Orchid which is my favorite setup for forges.

So I went through DIM and just wrote down all the things I use in somewhat regular rotation (I lied, some of these i don't have but they're super popular and effective). There are plenty of other popular things but for me, this is the stuff that works the best. In parentheses is how you get it.

Militia’s Birthright (Lake of Shadows Nightfall)

    Austringer (Menagerie)

    Beloved (Menagerie)

    Blast Furnace (Forges)

Bite of the Fox (Iron Banner)

    Ace of Spades (Exotic quest)

Threat Level (Scourge of the Past Raid)

    Midnight Coup (Leviathan Raid)

Outbreak Perfected (Zero Hour secret exotic mission)

The Recluse (Crucible Pinnacle weapon, 2100 Glory points in the Competitive playlist)

Jotunn (exotic drop from the Forges)

    IKELOS Shotgun (Escalation Protocol)

    Telesto (Random Exotic drop)

    Fighting Lion (Random Exotic drop)

    Loaded Question (Vanguard Pinnacle weapon)

    Oxygen SR3 Vanguard Pinnacle weapon)

    Wendigo GL3 (Vanguard Pinnacle weapon)

    Kindled Orchid (Forges)

One Thousand Voices (Last Wish Raid, I don't have this)

Nation of Beasts (Last Wish Raid)

Anarchy (Scourge of the Past Raid)

21% Delirium (Gambit Prime pinnacle weapon)

    Thunderlord (random Exotic drop)

    Hammerhead (Forges)

    Tractor Cannon (random Exotic drop)

    Wardcliff Coil (random Exotic drop)

    D.A.R.C.I. (random exotic drop)

    The Last Word (Exotic quest)

    Thorn (Exotic quest)

    Arbalest (random Exotic drop)

The Chaperone (I believe a quest from Amanda Holliday?, been a while)

Izanagi’s Burden (Honestly don’t even remember how this quest started, might have to google it)

    Mindbenders Ambition (Hallowed Lair Nightfall)

Lord of Wolves (This one.. ugh, I believe its from Spider bounties)

    Twilight Oath (Dreaming City)

    Retold Tale (Dreaming City)

    Riskrunner (random Exotic drop)

The Mountaintop (Crucible pinnacle weapon, quest from Shaxx, i don't have this)

Revoker (Crucible pinnacle weapon, quest from Shaxx, i don't have this)

    The Huckleberry (random Exotic drop)

I have all of those except some of the Crucible Pinnacle weapons. I don't have the Wendigo GL3 or the Hush bow from this season yet. I'm also missing a couple of the raid weapons.

I added The Huckleberry on there as I've seen quite a few video's circulating about Huckleberry/Loaded Question/Wendigo being an unstoppable PvE loadout. I'm going to try that later.

Full catalyst Huckleberry is my go to "loping around doing bounties" gun. That paired with chromatic what ever warlock robe. Explosions and no reloads? Heh.. yeah.. it's good.

I finally got my curated Warden's Law. I realize it's not the "God" roll but I'm done farming for one for now. I just wanted one with decent characteristics and Rampage. I threw a backup mag mod on it and its nice. I also got a Fixed Odds heavy machine gun from the Menagerie, As usual, I got crap perks. Rangefinder + No Distractions. I also got a barrel in it that has good range properties. Basically, it works pretty good as a heavy scout rifle. I went for reload speed on the masterwork, and really shouldn't have. What you want is stability on this thing as it recoils allot. Its worse than any of the other machine guns. Its pretty mediocre for the most part. Evidently, due to the fire rate Hammerhead has a shorter time to kill. Still, per shot it hits about 1k harder than Hammerhead and with the right perks its not a bad option for solar singe activities if you didn't get an Avalanche or a good Avalanche.

This IB quest line is awful. I'm almost done with the second to last quest, so I'm going to finish it, but I almost wish I hadn't started the process at all. It's waaaay too long. I feel like I can't do anything else, or I wouldn't finish. I don't how anyone would do this on multiple characters this week. I'm even playing my warlock, so the grenade kill part wasn't that bad with handheld super nova and Contraverse Holds. Still, I'd advise if you haven't started it, don't bother.

First thing I said was how these 360RPM MG's were basically heavy scouts, really nice for certain situations. The raid has another one called Bane of Sorrow which is essentially identical just being Void.

Its truly a slog. Probably 10 hours total in the IB playlist for me to finish it on my Warlock and that's WITH the cheese to finish the last step. I really felt like there should have been more of a reward than just a full armor set.

But hey, supposedly we're getting a cool emblem that'll show we survived all the Lord of Wolves mayhem this week :-P

Please enlighten me on this cheese for the final step. I just need to finish like 2.5 weapons (scouts is killing me....they are terrible in pvp) before I'm on the last step.

Seemed like Youtube/Twitter had a ton of guides, here is one. This ONLY works on the last step and you have to have at least a 2x win streak before attempting the cheese or it won't work. So finish the step you're on, pick up the last step, win two games and with the cheese you'll finish it in about a minute.

    I didn't feel bad at all. :)

    Well, that wasn't that bad.

Burst glide w/ Transversive's skate past everything to the boss platform, switch to Lunafactions and drop a well. Unload Wendigo into the boss and its done.

Really not sure why this was so difficult over the past 9 months :-P

Yeah DFA at this point is more to just have it in Collections if you want to get all the Nightfall weapons. I can't tell how many runs of Savathun's Song i've been through without a Duty Bound drop. Only Nightfall weapon I don't have yet.

Wendigo down, I really don't want to play more Crucible after the many many hours of IB of the last week for Revoker so.. Hush it is.

What the last 5 hours have told me is bows in Gambit suck. Bows suck. I hate bows.

Half way through kills then I can finish the medals with my normal loadout and that can't come soon enough!

I find the idea of bows fun, and they can be fun if you're just messing around. Unfortunately, they are trash for anything remotely serious lol. I hate how Bungie loves to basically make you throw games for pinnacle weapons by forcing you to use some garbage for a while. Same goes for the IB quests this time.

Come to think of it, you're not wrong. Le Monarque and Trinity Goul were pretty fun when I got them for strikes/patrols but yeah, when it counts and you're trying to be efficient, man does it feel like my gameplay is in slow motion.

Bows are broken they either need to speed up the rate of fire or increase their damage, pretty much everything else out performs them at every range.

Not tonight, but keep an eye on the #raid channel in Discord, we'll try to schedule one for later this week/weekend for sure.

Speed up rate of fire you say? Well that's why i'm going for Hush!

Speaking of.. time to jump in the playlist...

I don't know about that. If you get a good one with Archer's Tempo and / or draw time masterwork, they can hit like a truck. Exotics like Lemonarch and Trinity Ghoul perform well for add clears and do pretty decent single target damage. Perks matter more on bows I think than they do on any other weapon class.

I can't do it. Compared to the super fast run and gun of a Birthright/Recluse combo, this bow in something fast paced like Gambit was hell. Luckily...

    No more!

Makes me wonder why i'm going after this Hush in the first place...
