I think you understand what I was trying to say... it sucks less than trackers which require no registration.
 
For all the hype I hear about Demonoid... It's HORRIBLE. Easily the worst tracker I have ever used. Crap seed/leecher ratios, and the worst selection of... Linux ISOs... of any tacker I've seen.
 
any one have anymore codes i used to be a member of it but i forgot my password and once i reformatted my pc i lost the password and the pass to the email account i used to make that old account lol dam remember me and save my password ftl lol good thing i didn't lose my [H] one though that's all that maters!

thing thats nice about public trackers though is how easy it is to keep your ratio up. on most private trackers, seeders are client-whores and always desperate to grab a few exta bits it seems... you usually end up downloading the freeloader and popular files just to try to keep your upload high- which means youre pushing a lot of data you dont even give a shit about.
 
Grab a couple of the free downloads or 2X torrents and keep you ratio up. good deal.

I have a 2.2gb file that currently has a 16gb upload, FTW
 
Demonoid's down? Any input out there? Personally I like Demonoid due to it having what I want without the porn popup's and junk files! Anyways... back on topic - What's up with Demonoid?

If you goto their site it says they are doing maintenance and have been for the past 2-3 days now. I haven't see or heard any news on them closing, so they are just cleaning up shop!

none of the freeloader files are anything i would want to watch. my point is to get a high ratio you must push a lot of data you don't care about at all. at least i dont, my taste in entertainment is a little different then most though.
 
Yes, it is due to power issue on their provider, it seems to be taking out ram and harddrives too often they took the entire site down until they can be moved to a better power circuit, not sure if that exists in the Ukraine....
 
Yea I have checked a few times, guess I will have to look elsewhere for something.

Easy, you do what I did at my old house out in the sticks, invest about $5k in a power conditioner, inverter, and 10 24v bus batteries, granted this covered the whole house and not just a computer and it could act as a UPS and run my whole house for about 7 hours minus air conditioning/heating.

considering most sites that have content now have nothing, why is that, cause most sites used external trackers that all linked back to Demo... they were a great site, period, it sucks they are down, but considering such a site cost money and they have issues, be thankful if they come back up, considering the crap they have been through over the years, be happy they came back everytime.

Because it's horrible- simple. It tries to be a private site, fails at that. Doesn't regulate it's members, barely regulates torrents, everything is just linked there, doesn't have a lot of stuff, poor seeds, etc. etc.
It was good a few years ago, now it blows.

i use demo because all the private sites are hardass about their members and there is way too many rules to follow on some of the clan i mean private sites.

i do see the points onf demonoid not moderating the people or posts, but dam i have not seen a site in years that has the content it does.

Thanks for the pointer - I'll check them out. I have been a Demo user for many years, and never got pinched using thier trackers. TPB on the other hand... 2x in a month, and never went back.
 
ya, ILT i have never had any issues, but i am in costa rica..lol :)


it is private, but they did just hit 100k users, but closed registration, and if you dont mind having a ratio, well worth it i think
