Dell Stackables Back!

Is there any equivalent deal for Canadians? Dell.ca has different listings and isn't applying the discounts.

Dell.ca never gets these coupons or hot deals. Sorry. Maybe you could make friends with someone in the states who will export for you.

Edit:

Anyone who ordered yesterday, check your order status on the Dell website. My email says it will ship on the 23rd, but UPS's website says it is scheduled for DELIVERY tomorrow.

I got 2 emails this morning. My original ship date was the 23rd, the email said they were shipped the 17th.

Horray me.

Again, same here. Although curiously, the padding items are coming DHL and the monitors are coming UPS, and only 1 monitor shows a tracking number. I ordered 1 before lunch and the other after lunch, would that be the difference between hitting a truck today and hitting one tomorrow?

Gah, I need to focus on work. But I can't do that, with $800 or so in monitor headed to my house. So excited.

they fubared by order, said the monitor, not the padding was arriving today. guess what showeed up and guess what i have to wait for until may 31...

obviously not my monitor cuz it just showed up. lol. i love ups, they deliver like 4 times a day, must have been my dazzle that was delayed. hooked up my monitor, but im afraid to turn it on cuz it might not work.... :(

soo excited, wish me luck!

pictures beautyful though. I am useing VGA instead of DVI, would that help the ghosting any?

but no dead pixles :) >_< send back or no?

sad very sad, when i move the mouse, there are no more sharp corners :( all turns to mush. does any other owner see this also?

Mine is supposed to be delivered today, so we'll see about these lighting issues and the like.

I think there might be something odd going on, cuz as soon as I got my tracking info it said rescheduled also. Along with someone else I heard yesterday...

Just got mine all hooked up here at work. No dead pixels and no apparent backlight issues. Looks like I have a winner! What a display!

Dear Valued Customer,
We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay <read> our OEM that drop ships the units from their package facility </read> with your order 3XXXXXXX8 and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 05-31-2005.

That's for my order padding. Dell is known for selling shit on their website and having a manuf. or distie do the shipping directly. Monitor should be here after 5:30pm today.

how is ghosting on it?

I am at work now so I have not tried any gaming. Text is very crisp and I don't notice any blurring even when scrolling fast unlike the cheapie 15" Dell LCD that I normally use here. I will report back after some games tonight.

man, its hella bad even with text. when everything is not moving it looks great. i think ima send it in, but well see

Not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good? </beasties>

Don't worry guys - this monitor is WELL worth the wait.

No more scrolling left to right to see the "56K = Warning" threads ;)

Shit that is sweet looking. I got 2. I hope I have enough room on my desktop.

Also, anyone want to recommend me a decent video card?

I got impatient after a day of waiting, so I called Dell and asked one of the dudes in India if he could upgrade my shipping to two day and charge me a little more.

I was surprised when he offered to upgrade me to next day, for free. Then even more surprised when he asked that I put a good word for him in a customer satisfaction survey they'd be sending out. I'm not sure if that's scandalous or not, but I'm definitely gonna give him a glowing review.

I told him "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" :p

Same thing that happened to me. I have to be honest, I normally go into those conversations expecting problems but they guy I got was really cool and kind of inferred that he'd appreciate a good review. My monitors are scheduled to arrive tomorrow but I doubt I'll be around to sign for them so I'll probably have pics up Friday night or something.

Pretty severe bleeding on my A01 revision. Not sure what I'm going to do at this point...it doesn't really bother me, even though it should. No deads or stucks so far though.

OMFG they shipped it already! It said I could expect to receive it by next Tuesday (even now that I have next day shipping)

I guess by next day they MEANT next day...
heh, this is good timing for my monitor to have started flickering. let's just hope the 2005fpw isn't a dud!

What does bleeding look like? Would it be obvious?

LCDs

* Dell 2005FPW 20.1" Widescreen DVI LCD
$749 + $1 padding - 35% off S0BDZ6HBTFDPSL - $90 C621VV5TS$75M9 = $397
* Dell 1905FP 19" DVI LCD + Zio Reader + Case
$479 + $21 padding - 35% off S0BDZ6HBTFDPSL - $60 57MG5$JXHC?N4H = $265

Cannot get it to work HELP!!!!!!!!!

Bottom left and top right corners bleed heavily, about two-half, three inches out. Bottom right and top left corners aren't nearly as bad. I believe if I snapped a photo, it'd be the worst of any I've seen in the big 'ol 2005FPW post.

I'll get it replaced if Dell can pick it up and one-day a replacement. Otherwise, I think I'm going for a refund. It seems to me that the design works, but the production quality isn't there...I'm thinking they need to drop production in Mexico and focus a bit more on quality control.

Edit: Rather than making an entirely new post...the bleeding is less 'pronounced' than what's shown here, but extends a good deal beyond what the camera actually picks up.

Snap a pic and let's see what the damage is.

Wow, that isn't all that pretty - is it the 2005FPW or the 1904FP?

Thank you for the thread guys.
I just ordered Digital Rebel XT with 18-55mm lens for $743 shipped.
Super Deal.

Results of my own d-cam testage.

backbleed.jpg

I like the monitor, but will test it out with a few Matrix scenes tomorrow to see if it's really annoying. If so, then a-exchanging I will go.

Any idea how many 2005FPW's have been returned?? It must be a staggering number . . . . .

got mine in with no noticable bleeding and only one dead pixel. however, after reading a post about 'massaging' the pixel back to life, i ran my finger over it and it came back on.

in regards to returning, it looked like mine had been returned before. there were some scratches on the back of the monitor where the stand attaches. I hope it wasn't for the dead pixel, haha.

After some time checking my screen out in the dark I have some bleeding like the one shown above. Maybe not quite as bad, but there is some there. It isn't noticeable at all when playing games or surfing, the only time I see it is if I use a black screen on DPB. I will have to watch a movie to see what I think, but since I have no dead pixels I think I can live with it. Maybe I'm just not as picky as some, but it does seem like they need to fix the problem.

P.S. I did some gaming last night. This is the way games were meant to be played. Widescreen is the only way to go. I didn't notice any ghosting or blurring on D3, Far Cry, or EQ2. Just crisp, bright, detailed gaming.
